I am fully with you and I agree that it was a fault of Indian government. Politician are currupted and system is age old and controlled by those corrupted ones. I am really angry with these ppl. I wish when Pakistani terrorists attacked the Parliament, I wanted them to success a little bit and killed few of them. I wish.

But because of them, we cant stop loving our country after all. Please bare with them for few long. Everything is getting westernised and the major benefit will be so much stuff will become transparent.

Our whole country is with you and we really sorry for what you have gone through.

Its like that song "It happens only in India"...such incidents may occur all over the world(case of mistaken identities) but the real beauty is only in India will u see that the victim is an Indian citizen. I also remember the issue when an Indian couple were sent back because they didnt have visa for their kids. Indian culture always talks abt tolerance and openmindedness, but maybe thats only reserved for guests and not our own!!!

A difficult Question to answer..
by jitendra biswal on Feb 02, 2007 03:18 AM  | Hide replies

I truely sympathise with Mr. Dar.. But the question is what is his fault and is he a terrorist for which he has suffered.I feel his only problem is that he is from KASHMIR and a MUSLIM.Unfortunaly he is from a place and community that has has created the problem and given a terrorist tag to KASHMIR and MUSLIM comunity. So the answer is with Mr.Dar.Either he has to do his best remove this bad K tag from Rest of India's mind (not a easy task)or search a answer in air which is a paradox.Because the rule of nature is JYESE KARNI AIESE BHARANI....

why does a muslim always have to prove that he is loyal and trustworthy. why cant you hindus prove to us ,first learn to give respect and then get respect. dont demand respect when you cant give. also, terrorism was started way before, there was sikh terrorism, ltte problem and the north east ulfa , radicals in the south, are they all muslims, i think first they should remove the bad hindu tag and talk about justice .

This is an intellectually dishonest post. How do you equate any particular religion to evil? There are millions of muslims around the world and in India who live as contributing citizens. The appalling fact is that our own intelligence body has no idea what is going on.

Aditya:
You are wrong.
Islam is hateful and evil.
Many Muslims are not. Muslims are humans just like any other humans. Not all of them follow Islam in its totality.
There are millions of Muslims who are good contributing humans...true
The more they follow the Quran the lesser they contribute to Humanity. (in Islam, a non Muslim is not even considered worth his salt)

Read the Quran before you try to make such sweeping politically correct but irrelevent assertions.

I believe It was bad. If Dar is innocent then he really had a bad time .
Though I have full sympathy with Mr. Dar but then how you guys want the interrogation team to work? It happens and will keep on happening. Our intelligence agency is responsible for safety of millions of Indian not just one individual. Well I really thank Dar for his support to the interrogators.
I know if I will be questioned, I too will fill annoyed but then Indian intelligence was doing their duty and I hope the useless Human Rights Organization will not raise their voice again as I believe they don%u2019t have any other work rather then making noises.

duty does not mean you torture someone . A typical sign of a 3rd world country is that those who have power misuse that power.

I think that applies to India quite well

The heading itself is not patriotic.
Yesterday's heading was Kashmiris living more
free than entire Pak.
It looks like the purpose of this article is
to tell some story to antidote that opinion.
Be patriotic

Does being patriotic means showing a false rosy scene...
if this is what happened..then this is the way it should be said...
y u need sugar coating nder the pretext of patriotism...
patriotism means u need to be knowing everything that is happening in our country...whether bad or good....

Hi,
When someones car was stolen, I & thousand of other motorists, who passed the road, were detained & questioned. During that time, I missed my flight. Shall I blame the Govt. If you ask the guy who lost the Car, support the interrogation of the thousands. If you ask the guy who missed the flight. If he is true patriot, he will tell, Govt. did the right decision. That's what I mean patriotic here.

Hi,
Think about the Car here as innocent lives, who lost their life.

Always I/we have sympathy for whom were wrongly convicted or got miseries. Sometimes this may be un-avoidable while trying to find out the truth. So, using these incidents and magnify them with added extras to justify any one's case.

Atrocious act!
by Srivathsan on Feb 02, 2007 01:31 AM  | Hide replies

It is funny that Mr. Dar himself doesn't mention religion anywhere but the readers are taking that as the main cause.
If Mr. Dar is truly innocent, then it is an atrocious act by the Authorities, Indian and Bangladeshi. There is little difference between the US torturing Iraqis at Guantanamo and the Indian and Bangladeshi authorities torturing their own people right here at home.

Too bad incidence
by Animesh Naskar on Feb 01, 2007 09:22 PM  | Hide replies

This incidence was not religion oriented but it showed the lack of proper knowledge by Agencies. Millions of terrorist pass though Airports, but Authorities can't notice them. Instead an innocent person is caught to publicize that they are so vigilant.

who is responsible for bad image of kashmiris?
kashmiris themselves. Where were these human rights organisations when these and Dar's other kin and kith killed thousands of us in the same kashmir.
stop falling for this propaganda. I am sure dar is a terrorist but got out because of lack of proof.

from: tortured kashmiri hindu.
