do u even know where they live it is the one of the places available on campus for graduate students. An d by the way i am phd student at lsu i am one of the highest paid research assistants here @ lsu and even i don't get 2000$ and books and medical waivers you are talking about. And if you are talking that we should live in rich places come to baton rouge and check if you are living around university how costly are the apartments we need to pay 700$ per person just to stay and this doesn't count for your utility bills or anything and all you get for yourself is one room. who ever said penny pinchers no one lives that way. He is married and needs to support himself and one more in $1000 he gets. If your kind enough send the money to them every month and they will live in the lavish 700$ per person apartments.

As an LSU alumni, I find ur comments irresponsible. From the details coming out, it was not a burglary. It was some kind of retribution for failing a student as one of the guy was a TA for undergrad classes. SO it doesnt matter where you stay. Also its not LATech, its LSU, differen tuniversity. Third I lived in those apts myself during my Masters and I can tell you it was a boon staying oncampus, u could walk to the dept/library anytime to do ur research or homework. Also not everybody comes from rich families, some are here on merit!!!

Hello vaibhav You are right! But its not right time to express your ideas about where should people live. Collect your ideas and make a good presentation during Indian student gatherings or in general student meetings or post on Indian student's website, so that people will follow. About saving money, whoever comes from india are not from similar financial background. You may be from BIG family or NOT. In future, please do not talk HARSH about fellow indian students.
