This is about the competency of the government of a state. The interviewer aptly questioned the CM on the state of lawlessness or the apparent deterioration of peace in the city. Those are facts. Is the CM appeasing muslims in the city? Yes, that is also a fact. Is it vote bank politics? Absolutely yes.
But now something for us to think about. Is the congress in power solely bases on Muslim votes? Not a chance. The Hindus outnumber muslims 9 to 1. So unless many of the Hindus voted for the congress, YSR would not be in power.

Former chief minister and Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu has been accusing the Congress and other political parties of vote-bank and opportunistic politics. Hardly a day after he accused the Congress president, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, of adopting vote-bank politics by not choosing to visit the kin of the victims of Mecca Masjid and twin bomb blasts, Chandrababu Naidu deputed his senior party functionary and MP SM Lal Jan Basha to meet senior Muslim religious leader Moulana Hameeduddin Aquil.
Moulana Aquil had supported the Congress during the last Assembly elections. Now after the police raided his madarasa, Darul-Uloom Hyderabad, the Moulana changed his loyalty and announced that he saw no difference between the "communal" BJP and the "secular" Congress.
This statement was enough for Chandrababu Naidu. So he sent Lal Jan Basha to the residence of Moulana Aquil to seek his support. Basha told the Islamic cleric that the TD, when it was in power for nine years, had treated Muslims well and there was no police harassment.
It seems the TD wants to win the support of the Moulana and through him the support of the Muslim community before the next State Assembly polls due in May 2009. If this is not politics of opportunism and politics of vote-bank, what is it? Only Chandrababu Naidu should tell.

Dear Friend, It is hindu faith which says that God in his true form is beyond all senses including ears and beyond imagination. But see islam says Allah have spoken to Moses (musa Nabi), Which is violating our Nirguna Brahman concept of God. Now see, our life in this world is jus 60 years(avg) and u say based in this life people go to heaven and hell for etrnity. How unjust ur God is ??? Also where dead infants go??? We believe in salvation(mukti) which is self realisation when we realise our true nature which is God.Only Hindu faith i see most convincing regard to concept of God and life after death. There is only one soul and that is God who is everything.Everybody's soul is the same.. Due to Maya we consider ourselves as mind,body know? similarly God assumes divine forms as said in Vedas. Anyway Mlechchas who are ignorant will not understand all these.

dude. Read History. Islam believes in the concept of kafirs and one life time . They either go to hell or heaven. Islam also says that all non believers should be killed that is because , when a kafir is killed by a believer , the believer goes to heaven and the kafir goes to heaven . Psycologically you guies are under tremendous pressure to go to heaven in this one life. But for Hindus they believe in the concept of reincarnation and hence we are not under pressure to go to heaven immediately. We do have number of lives to enjoy and go to heaven slowly. That is the reason you see that an average muslim is the most voilent. So it is not difficult to imagine as to why muslim societies the world over have lot of voilence.

contd.. The reason I say this is "lesser" is because Christians and Jews, the other big monotheistic religions, do not take things literally as do Muslims. That is why there are so many secular countries (with christian majorities) where Muslims are growing and flourishing but there is only one secular Muslim majority country => Turkey. Even in Turkey, as you read the news, the army is only tenuously holding onto this "secularism" while majority seems to be against it.
Do NOT give me examples of Malaysia, Indonesia. They are NOT secular countries. Just read their constitution and then talk about whether they have incorporated "Islam or Muslim-ness" into it or not.
