Campaign Against Muslim
by Ismail Sayyed on Sep 02, 2007 09:28 AM  | Hide replies

It is true that there are Muslims who cheat, bribe and whose personal character is indeed disappointing when judged by the standard of Islam. There are black sheep in every community, and the Muslim community has theirs. It is important to bear in mind though, that display of such low ethical standards by some Muslims is a result of not following the teachings of Islam.

In the current political climate, it has become fashionable to associate Islam with obscurantist ideas, and extremist behavior. Millions of Muslims worldwide focus on righteous deeds in this life, in order to attain eternal salvation in the hereafter. Muslims are the biggest community of teetotalers in the world. Every year, Muslims donate billions of dollars in charity, as part of their religious obligation of Zakah.

The vast majority of law-abiding, righteous Muslims, however, do not make the headlines, the way deviants do.

This has resulted in the perpetuation of negative stereotypes of Muslims.
Judging Islam by the behavior of some Muslims is akin to judging a car by an erratic driver.

Oh so babri is unforgettable but killing thousands of Kashmiri Pundits and razing hundreds of temple is not. If Hindus start memorising past atrocities of Muslims then what will happen?

Out of 420 messages on this board....99% are hate messages against muslims..imploring people to kill them or asking them to go to some other country !!

No wonder muslims feel alienated, gthreatened & that can provoke some to take to terrorism

On the topic of "forced conversions"
If you follow closely how Islam spread from Prophet's time, it is clear that the sword played the most important role. Wipe out the non-believers, take their women folk and terrorise, socially force the remaining population to convert through special taxation etc.

1) Prophet Mohammed himself sanctioned many religious murders. He took refuge in Medina, forced the local tribes to fight a war against Mecca and then if the tribes such as Banu Qurayza, Banu Nazir oppose it, push them out and then wipe them out. How to wipe them out? Kill *all* the males of the tribe.

2) Prophet Mohammed himself sanctioned the feasting on the remains of the dead. So, in the case of Banu Qurayza, the chief of the tribe and his son-in-law were killed and Mohammed took the chief's daughter as his concubine.

3) This tradition was passed on to the famed Husayn(son of Ali). When YazdgardIII, king of persia was defeated, Husayn took his daughter and married her. Yazdgard III was pushed out of his kingdom and his son Piroz died in China as an exile.

4) Try to Kill/Silence opposition (as in the case of Taslima, Hirsi Ali, Rushdie). Abu Afaq, a Jewish Arab poet killed because he opposed Islam. Asma Bint marwan, A Jewish Arab poetess was killed on Mohammed's orders because she opposed Islam and satirized Mohammed.

So, these tactics of intimidation, conversion are there from day1 and are used as excuse for Jihad today.

Today the fastest growing religion in America and in Europe is Islam. Which sword is forcing people in the West to accept Islam in such large numbers?Indeed, it is the sword of the intellect;the sword that conquers the hearts and minds of people.

Javed,Ismail, Mohammed
Let us not obfuscate facts about Islamic occupation of these "10 centuries" that you talk of".
1) First of all, in any discourse about how kind Islamic rule was over Hindu/Vedic/Buddhists was, you should include present day Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kashmir, Northern Areas etc. If you include that you will conclude that there is a much bigger conversion that occurred. It is a *fact* forcible conversions occurred in the name of "Islam or die". Admittedly not everyone was forced to conver. However, there were a lot who did convert for fear of death, for fear of discrimination living as a dhimmi.

2) This is not just about India but also in Iran. How do you explain the Parsi population in India other than of them being totally wiped out and kicked out of Iran by the neo-converted muslims?

2)IRA, Tamil tigers, Naxalites do NOT fight under the banner of their religion. Infact, there are many Christian Tamil tigers. They are fighting for a "Tamil land". They are terrorists too. So, this attempt at getting an analogy is bogus.
Actually, it is actually interesting that most muslims speak Tamil but are staying away from the armed struggle.

3)Malaysia is often brought up as an example of a secular Muslim country. Even there, there is a social contract that Chinese, Tamils have lesser rights than do Malay Muslims. These are never brought up by muslims. Infact, the only truly secular muslim country in the world is Turkey. That is also changing now.

Every Muslim should be a terrorist. A terrorist is a person who causes terror. The moment a robber sees a policeman he is terrified. A policeman is a terrorist for the robber. Similarly every Muslim should be a terrorist for the antisocial elements of society, such as thieves, dacoits and rapists. Whenever such an anti-social element sees a Muslim, he should be terrified. It is true that the word %u2018terrorist%u2019 is generally used for a person who causes terror among the common people. But a true Muslim should only be a terrorist to selective people i.e. anti-social elements, and not to the common innocent people. In fact a Muslim should be a source of peace for innocent people.

There is A world of difference between the "freedom-fighters" or "terrorists" as you may call them who fought (an used many no-violent methods)
against those who controlled them
and the terrorists today who are killing innocent civilains who are causing no harm.
The chat Bhandar in hyderabad that was bombed is flocked by teenage college students and the laser show affected is for familes with their kids.Any labelling of such murderers as anything but murderer is a gross injustice.
If you are peace-loving support only the peace-lovers.

I am a fundamentalist Muslim who, by the grace of Allah, knows, follows and strives to practise the fundamentals of Islam. A true Muslim does not shy away from being a fundamentalist. I am proud to be a fundamentalist Muslim because, I know that the fundamentals of Islam are beneficial to humanity and the whole world. There is not a single fundamental of Islam that causes harm or is against the interests of the human race as a whole. Many people harbour misconceptions about Islam and consider several teachings of Islam to be unfair or improper. This is due to insufficient and incorrect knowledge of Islam. If one critically analyzes the teachings of Islam with an open mind, one cannot escape the fact that Islam is full of benefits both at the individual and collective levels.

HYd will face much much bigger terrorism problem in next decades.

Even those who are basically aware of Islamic groups unleashing terrorism knows their basic goal is to establish Nizam Rule back in Hyd.

Alas, our politicians are unable to take strong action because of Muslim Vote.

ITS A VERY DAMGEROUS SIGN.

Congress is allowing its citizen to bleed because its not taking hard stand against terrorism for Muslim Vote Bank
by Tathagata Mukherjee on Sep 01, 2007 10:11 PM

Even Bibek Debroy, a noted economist wrote this in Indian Express:

Take the Hyderabad instance. The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has 1 Lok Sabha seat and 4 assembly seats. It supports the UPA at the Centre and the Congress government in Andhra and has distinguished itself by opposing a motion in the Andhra assembly condemning 9/11 and attacking Taslima Nasreen in August 2007. A few days before the Hyderabad blasts, AIMIM criticised Hyderabad%u2019s anti-terrorist squad for adopting a hard-line approach to terror and this is reportedly the reason why investigations have been handed over to CBI. Has anyone from the central or state government uttered a word against AIMIM? Not that I know of.

First of all ,
*There was the IRISH NATIONAL ARMY putting up bombs all over the place in Britain and all over europe after that even in america, because differnce in faith and also over the independent government, Well all these were/are called terrorist acts but their faith is never questioned, fine.
*There is the terrorist movement from the breakaway faction in spain over their independence, committing serious violence acts and bombing called as terrorist activities but not a question over their faith, fine
*There are so many faction in france , estonia, russia, lithuania, bosnia, serbia, croatia, albania,Italy,Ukraine, estonia, latvia,Sri lanka, czech republic, turkey etc.........terrrorist acts being committed without any repent or resolving till date and even in india in the northeast sector full of insecure people since independence i.e 60 years, all the terrorist activities commitied by many communities in INDIA , well even the naxal wave which has engulfed almost half the country and still spreading belong to many communities including the faith hinduism, talk about srilanka and tamils are there committing all terrorist activities, they are also hindus fine. But not a question over their faith, fine.
*In all the above circumstances there is element of each and every religion being suprressed so these people are committing terrorist acts without any question over the faith ,In the same way in middle east there is the Israel taking over the land of palesine.

RE:Dont bring religion into disrepute part-1"
Continued from above part-2..........
THIS THE WHOLE World knows, but the West supports ISRAEL and here no one is doing justice so in this region they resent by commiting these henious crime, but here their faith is questioned, not RIGHT.
*In india there is kashmir problem , a regional one to that.I KNOW kashmir is our INDIAN and will be forever but that is being disputed by pakistan our enemy neighbour which is causing all the problem, But again here the faith is being questioned , not RIGHT. Why this is between nationals not religion then why all you rediff readers posting messges unknowllingly trying to malign the peaceful religon of ISLAM.These acts are committed by foreign nationals.Dont be so narrowminded.
*In the world over this is a a problem because all the other faith are regional but ISLAM AND CHRISTIANITY IS GLOBAL , so this being maligned which is wrong.First be right and then expect right.

*I condemn all kinds of terrorist and each and every muslim condemns this and doesnot support any violence acts. Anyone committing any violence in our country is our enemy no matter what religion he belongs.
*Please stop blaming any religion but do blame your own mind with that fixation. We should not support any one committing any violence acts . All the guys commiting violence acts will go to hell because only innocent lives are lost which is a sin, There is no pardon for sinning innocents.hope these narrow minded people

Dear Mohammed Raj
Most of the voilence you reported is on the basis of ideology and not for the religion. Lets look at the examples closer home, the Tamil tigers and Naxalites, both of them are fighiting for ideology and not for religion, infact most of these are atheists and if you can see majority of the victims of naxalites voilence are Hindus. If they had been fighting for hinduism, you would agree they wouldn't harm Hindus. Unlike these, in Kashmir, the purpose of all the terrorism is to make Kashmir a part of Pakistan with the logic that a Muslim majority territory has to be part of Muslim state, the reason is purely religion. The people who have been terrorised, made to leave their home and the victims are all non muslim - Hindus. In Islam there is no concept of country, everything is for the Umma, loyalty to religion ranks over the loyalty to the country. Muslim religion as you are aware, makes it mandatory for you to fight for the co-muslims and religion. Therefore, you see all this voilence, as every terrorist thinks he is doing as has been ordained on him by the religion and by doing this he would be going to heaven. Just look at the way the muslim youth are willing to put their lives at such risk and sacrifice their lives, the strong motivation is their blind belief of going to heaven and all these swore by the religion for undertaking such inhuman acts. Can you expect any of those timid idiots who placed bombs in Hyderabad/ Mumbai/ Varanasi/ Delhi etc and killed

(Contd.) innocent children, women and men going to heaven. If any God accepts such murderers and rewards for killing innocents, he is no God. Every person who beleives in the religion has to be told in no uncertain terms that they killing any human being, muslim or non muslim, is crime and god doesn't reward such people, only when this is clear to them would they not resort to such acts. When there are no more killings in the name of religion, the religion wouldn't get blamed.
Its in your hands, take the initiative and educate people, instead of feeling remorse about religion getting blamed.
