no.... it needed... but it should inform other countries, so that no inconvinence is caused for them......... we have missed a close serious disaster/// if anything went wrong, they would say India intentionally did it as the flight passengers were 400 muslims...... anyway, it is better to be safe than sorry.......

You are talking like the aircrafts narrowly missed the missile. Common on, they were warned and they turned back.

Well said jasmine. The public is so eager to look at minor issues and blame the defense guys. Maybe the airlines forgot an earlier warning, or the Indonaseans screwed up (there I said it again). Anyway they were warned before they reached the area.

Hello fellow Indians, let us not fight. It is purely because of this attitude of ours that our enemies take advantage of us. Let there be a healthy discussion, but no fights. About the subject matter, I feel, we need to take any persmission from any country to test fire our missiles. But thorough care has to be taken by the authorities concerned (whoever they may be) that innocent lives are not put at stake. Remember, any of our loved ones, friends and relatives could have been on that plane. It is always better to be safe than be sorrowful later and as such our governments post any mishap, only install committees after committes to investigate the matter which takes years. In the meanwhile the loss of a near and dear one is felt only by common people who have nothing to do with the authorities not doing a proper job.

Sorry, error in my earlier message: We need not take any permission from any country to test fire our missiles.

Are you implying that her sacfirice will be a small sacrifice? Don't harp on pseudo patriotism. Having to divert planes is nothing compared to testing AgniIII and achieving the ability to reach cities like Beijing and shanghai with it
