can you state atleast three misrepresentation for the benefit of the other readers? Making a statement without supporting facts is the hallmark of a politician who is guilty or ashamed of their acts. Are you one among them?

first misrepresentation..... bhindrawale was not the leader of khalistan movement.. cause he never asked for khalistan.. it was jagjeet singh chouhan who was the fouder and leader of the movement. he has died last week of natural causes. second... there was no terrorist or voilent movement in punjab in 1981, akali dal did a peaceful march in delhi demanding more rights for punjab. third... bhindranwale never joined anyone. people joined him in his movement and idea as he was opposing the unnecessary humilation of sikhs by the government. through local leaders, police and the system... these are just from the first paragraph. neways u will not understand so dont bother please. think neutrally dont think u are sikh, hindu and muslim.

India's Action
by harshuk on Apr 09, 2007 05:03 PM  | Hide replies

Its not any great achievement for India if we win against pakistan which was created from our own motherland . Just imagine that if Pakistan would have been India's size and population , then what would have happened to us (Indians), we would have been out of the map. Its a shame that we lost a vast portion of the country which was from central Russia to Indonesia and more, now only left with few states and still leading a spineless life, acting according to USA and loosing land to China .
Ubnless we gain atleast Pakistan and Bangladesh , and regain our land from China , we must not think that we have won or can sit quiet.

Mushraff as a president is good for India
by shanmuga subramanian on Apr 09, 2007 04:55 PM  | Hide replies

Mushraff as a president is good for India as he can control Jihadi elements and bring some sort of order in Pakistan which will be good both for India and Pakistan and for their unification

Wishful thinking. Musshu hands are tainted by Kargil and also read what Benazir wrote about his offering to liberate Kashmir.
Only a democratic Pak is good for India. The military rulers will also fomment trouble.

by gurmeet sandhu on Apr 09, 2007 04:50 PM  | Hide replies

reports if donot know the details should not write such things. he was and is a religious hero. he never wanted a seperate country. he never fought against india. moreover he was supported by people like major subheg singh, who was 71 war hero. if they all were terrorist we really need to think y people who foughjt for country were against it.

Ofcourse he was not terrorist, he was puppet of politician and then himself became politician. I am pro-sikh but i cannot close eyes to what happened. Sikhs are real brave heroes but bcoz of some political stupids, some went in wrong way.

Any person who indulges in violence without lawful sanction against the unarmed have to be terrorists! It is an insult to all true Sikh patriots and heroes from Bhagat Singh to Manmohan if you say Bindrawala is not a terrorist.

Musharraf's Bhindranwale

Just as criminalization of Indian society and its politics is being accepted, though with great reluctance and least resistance, Pakistan society seems to be (reluctantly, may be) accepting Terroristic tendencies and their followers as a norm these days. Just as Indian fan started learning fanatic adoration and medieval (almost taliban like) exhibitiion of displeasure of its cricketers after learning tricks from our more volatile neighbors, we only hope and pray that some of our own citizens do not take cue from what is happening in our immediate neighborhood and get influenced by the path being follwed by them. It is quite scary as Taliban has spread from Afghanistan to the border areas of Pakistan into the central capital region, one has to worry where it is going to spread it virulent Ideology in the sub-continent. This does not augur well at all for a peaceful living in our region.

Ifs and buts

I am happy atleast in this case readers have been sane in posting comments. If India thinks that by supporting Aziz's movement, they can succeed in destabilising Musharraf, then they are right. But the next step with Aziz and company would be Kashmir and India. It is in India's interests to absolutely eliminate all kinds of extremist agitations, including all outfits practicing Wahabi Islam.

by IndianZZ on Apr 09, 2007 04:30 PM

Well, it seems that musharraf has started to reap what he sowed for others,
he ( pakistan) tried to create hatred in the mind of others for it's advantage, little do they know that hatred, once started can not be stopped...

they directly or indirectly killed thousands of people over what, just a piece of land , not remembering that land will stay here, it's the nations and civilisations that vanish without a trace, and what they are doing today is being written all over in history, which will start more hatred in the mind of others!
