Sikhs have been in the forefront in protecting our nation. Barring a few terrorist elements, most Sikhs are of lovable character and hard working.
I know quite a number of them. They are of course the great citiziens of India.

Bhupinder, the things were not that easy as you are saying. Bhindrawala was not a small rat but he had around 3000 terrorists with him in Golden Temple. Today we people mourn on Operation Blue Star which I also condemn, but we never think how these terrorsts made their base in Golden Temple. Who allowed them and why they allowed it? Why Indra Gandhi trusted Indian army and not the local police? How could they move freely with Arms and artillary in Golden Temple. I still remember that in Jan, 81 if terrorists kill one person, that become a headline of every newspaper but after around 6 months, if they kill 10 people, it became a news of 5th or 6th page. It was so common. So, it was a need of time to deal with these terrorists otherwise we surely needed a visa to meet each other now. Clerics were ready with their currency, flags and administrative things. The govt must have done this when there was no wayout left to remove these terrorists from golden templa. And the so called "aimless objective" is still alive and there are many people who are struggling for it. Now there main activities are not in India but abroad.

Your version of Osama and Bhindrawala is correct but their is a bit difference behind the cause. Indra Gandhi did used Bhindranwala but not to distroy the prosperity of Punjab but to divide the terrorism and their thinking so as to easily control the situation. It was becoming extremely difficult to stop those terrorists to kill innocent people. Congress had no control over the functioning of holy shrine. They created their base in concent and with the help of people who run golden temple. During those days, hindus feel insecure while going there, then how could congress. Do you think that 3000 terrorist can be easily evacuated or killed by a commando operation? Its not a plane hijack where you have to handle just 3-4 militants. And moreover, if it could be a commando operation, then no. of commando casualities could be in hundreds. And if Sikhs were not involved with Bhindrawala, why didn't they just handed over those militants to the goverment. To correct your facts, the age of Guru Gobind Singh's sons were 8 and 10. Throughout your comments, you seem to be trying to prove that she was a Muslim. If so (which is correct), then why she wanted a rift between Sikhs and Muslims? Those were not brave sikhs, those were militants who killed her and because of the misdeeds of these two militants, the condemning act of Nov 84 happened when thousands of innocent people died and tons of families lost their bread earner.

Bhindrawala was not killing Punjabi sikhs. He was killing Punjabi Hindus. Everyone talks of operation Blue star and Nov 84 riots but no one talk for those Hindu families who lost their kin during militancy era in Punjab. She nurtured bhindranwala to create a split between terrorists and not sikhs. And Bhindrawala did obeyed her orders till 1983. He used to obey her for 2 years (82 & 83)- as per well-known punjabi author but when he understood that to accompish his cause of Khalistan, militatnts need to unite, then he refused her. There is no meaning of Indian Sikh and Khalistani Sikh. If she wanted to completely destroy the shrine, she could. If she just wanted to completely distroy punjabi sikhs, she was very inteeligent to know that this operation is not enough. The operation was just meant to eliminate militants from GT. Militants elsewhere can be easily dealt with but not here. To which army those so called soldiers belonged to? Indra Gandhi was very popular, probably more popoular than Bhindrawala and some reaction was obvious after someone will kill her. But no one thought of and liked this huge reaction. Rajiv Gandhi was not behind the genocide, it was her supporters. Unfortunately, Punjab burnt for years but not only post Blue Star, it was burning before that as well.

When it comes to Afzal Guru or any muslims, these congressmen are very lenient. Afzal, who deserved a punishment of "SHOT AT SIGHT", is enjoying free food from our tax money. I wish that Afzal and party should have blown the parliament that day. Samjhauta express victims are getting 10 lakh each (68 people died) bcoz congress like to please muslims to get votes in UP. Our tax money is going to Pakistan. Tons of accidents happen here but govt. never give anything to its own people. No doubt that govt is really corrupt.

Yes, I agree, Congress is the most corrupt party which has only one objective to devide the nation on caste, religion grounds so that they can remain in power.
They do not think like Indians and do not see others as Indians. They have sold their souls for Money and Power.
Gone are the days when during Mahatama Gandhi's time Congress was a party with principles. Now it is a gang of Goons collected to loot the nation.
There are modrate muslims who do not fall a prey to their propoganda like Jawed Akther. He commented that there are different rules for different communities. I am giving an example quoted by Jawed Akther: If any Hindu plays any devotional song after 11 PM the Police will come and stop them, even during religious festivals but wont dare to do that if a similar thing is being done by muslims.
Secularism would means same rule applies to all, in all walks of life. So we should all, with moderate thinking, view ourselves as Indians instead of any other division and work to defeat the forces which are out to destroy the country.

Yeah, I know, tons of such sad incidents happened in Delhi. I also have some roots in Tilak Nagar. Those innocent sikhs were definitly not militants but became a victim of a reaction from the supporters of Indra. Again, no one thought of and liked this huge reaction and the people responsible should be booked. On the other side, it is also not advisable to kill the PM of the country and call the killers as brave sikhs or soldiers. Those guys are nothing more than militants.

Yes, if some silkh mentions the name of Bhagat Singh, I would say he was a hrd core HERO. There are many more of Silks heros. But Bhinderwale as Hero? Please .........no, never... He used holy place like Golden temple as the base for terrorism. Shame, he himself ruined the sacred temple by placing arms, ammunition and murder weapons... This is not what a hero does?

I totally agree, N. Ram is anti-hindu and reports communal venom in the garb of secularism. He is friendlier to Musshu than to Vajpayee! The only thing stopping islamization is the desire and effort of the Vatican. Wake-up hindus, Sikhs & Buddhists!
Radicalism and fanaticism is always lethal.. be it Islam or any other religion. When people fail to draw a line between religion and life, Bhindrawales arise.
The Radical islam again raises its ugly head. The "talibanisation" of Pakistan is definitely a cause of worry for everyone. In another decade, Pakistan might start looking like another Afghanistan, with Lunatic muslims craving to kill everyone who does not believe in Islam.
Bhindrawale tried to use religion to meet his own needs, and got what he deserved. Unfortunately the incident has left such deep scars in the heart of every Sikh that they'll never forget what happened. Grand parents will tell their grandkids, and the kids will carry that hate in them, while not knowing what actually happened at Amritsar !
Radicalism in religion should be stomped the moment it raises its head. Else, there will be many talibans, and Bhindrawales !
