where is the stop for this reservations based on caste, religion. when are we going to be real democratic, no caste and religion in govts dictionary. 50 more years or 100 years already 60 years passed.
Hi I feel instead of reserving the existing seats in Universities and jobs....it is better to create extra seats which will be meant only for backward sections in the society. And also the present day reservations must be completely removed for all, and those extra setats which i said above should be applicable to only those people whose father/mother has not utilized resrvation in their past. As a person from the so called upper class(which i do not want to call upper)i feel it is my responsibility to feel for backward section in our society but not at the cost of "equality of opportunity in the society" thank you. sarath (Andhra pradesh)

Reservation were not implemented by using many techniques, once the question paper for entrance was in English so that all rural population and in particular student from illiterate family could be avoided. Hence there were only three BC candidates and no SC or ST students in a class of sixty students of professional degree. In 1978 AP government relaxed to obtain income certificate to obtain from Tahsil Office to apply for scholarships based on father%u2019s income and they accepted if the income certificate was self declared by father. There were many from land lords and gazette officers children who signed the application on behalf their father and submitted. The scholarship from social welfare department. This relaxation might be to help their forward class students. Who will guarantee on economic status. Now a days many are on free lancing who will decide their economic status every year. Many people are having their properties off the record or on benamee names. Who will check the these properties to fix economic status. Do you suggest that BC should wait till to make all records. Will it be possible in this society. SC and ST are paid full tuition fee charged by Private institutions. At present many better should of BC community are not able to join private institutions because his poorness. These forward students were arguing to obtain full financial support from Government. Can govt. provide the same? There are their forward caste athi rath maha rathis to see search ways to through backward class people by some means time to time. Now the OBC have some people to check their deviated ways that why all this roar across the country. In 1991 the news paper gave statistics of OBCs intelligence. OBC are also intelligent. India is of all. If any body feels it is not haves/FC responsibility to bring them up and argue that let BCs come for competion with out minimum amenities it is not possible for them to compete with people from education back ground and they should have their land to grow them selves. British had same argument with Indian when they were asked to leave the country. They told that Indians are not capable to build their nation. Reservations are needed till castes exists.
I dont understand how people just for the sake of votes want to destroy the image of country..People like Mr Arjun singh who have passed their age should not be allowed to take a seat of importance.Its time that Proper Educated People take the Important govt positions and also a system needs to be set for their MEASUREMENTS/Accountability. Politician should be held accountable and punished for wrong doings just as any oridinary man is.If politicians like lalu, mulayam, arjun singh etc are ruling our country then what wshould be the fate of our country.People should recognise this and STOP VOTING TO THESE UNBRAINED POLITICIANS.
India is a conuntry dominated by political issues and political parties. Reservations is a big political tool and the political parties are interested in this tool instead of Country's self development and empowerment. Reservations have gone long ago. Now they are in extended period. They will extend even for years to come. Even in 3030 also India will be having Reservations. Political parties really do not want the improvement of knowledge and power of these people but they want these people are to live in the baseless life. Now Computerisation, Globalistaion and Privatisation reduced the impact of reservations. But still this kind of useless thoughts of political leaders putting India once again on the hot pan.

Yes, it is computer age, has caste system gone? will it go by 3030? Why is to blame political parties? do people not play politics to get their things done? When was reservation system came in India? How many states had it? Was there any OBC resrvation in central government departments. Who were there in Rail way department still 80s or 90s. were the eligible candidates not available in that point of time from OBC? If yes what were the reasons? take army, which caste people are more in CO cadre, which caste people are more JCO or NCO ? what was the reason to have those caste? Similarly telephone departments, banks? Why do you stop OBC. Now SCs educated strengh is more than some particular BC castes. Can any body stop Sc reservation? why creamy layer talk in Bc and SC. Can creamy layer man of Sc ask girl of Fc for his son? Indians are already divided. There can be no further division. Unity can achieved ny education and education can available by reservation. It their right to have education? Minorities have their own colleges. when reservations were given to them, no body raised their voice, because their are mighty by politics and money and culture and education. They have their own language. Unfortunatel OBC do not have any type of support.
