First of all, every one knows that the Srilankan government is equivally atrocious in nature like rebels. So it would be necessary to destory lankan weaponary before u do anything else. so tamil civilan lives will be saved, i dont think Rebels have done any AIRSTRIKES on mainland it was the government forces killed innocent lives. Though rebels killed targetted terrorism, that can not be equivalent to government strikes on CIVILIANS.
I dont understand why Rediff could not find any TAMIL columnist ? Rediff should be aware that it was this brahmins fear of violance against government, but they dont care about the voilence against the TAMIL civilans, so i dont really give any weight to Ramans coloumn as this does not realy reflect what the tamils in india want. So either this raman or hindu ram they are all hypocrats and a little over board and think too much of them selves as if they are great analysts.
They are nothing and zero if it comes to Tamils issues in tamil nadu.

I think raman is a fool.because he is aryan bramhin. he is supporting sinhalese because they also aryan. first indian military do peace keeping in kashmir because we know intellegence of indian military it is very weak.but Ltte intellegence is good as compared to indian military.India occupy kashmir but LTTE is a freedom struggle organisation.it is supported by all tamil people throuht out world. first remain it.

Perhaps "The LTTE is supported by all Tamil people throughout the world" as you say because they have systematically eliminated all opposition and do not tolerate any type of dissent? Yes, the Sri Lankan Tamils must have the right to self determination but the LTTE, a fascist organization, has violated the rights of Tamil civillians just as the SL government has and they cannot create a just society if the methods they use are not just. All you have to do is watch "No More Tears Sister" a documentary about Rajani Thiranagama. Listen to her sister, who is an ex-Tiger, and you will realize that the LTTE is no more interested in the rights of odinary Tamils than it is in a political solution to the conflict. They will never accept a political solution because they know that the moment they lay down arms, their own people will kill them. This is why the LTTE leadership must be eliminated (or their hand forced) because Prabhakaran will never willingly enter the political manstream and risk losing all the power that he has today in his defacto state. But whoever helps defang the LTTE, must also ensure that the Tamils gain the political autonomy that they need to live in Sri Lanka.
What's so-ever is happening in Srilanka is sad. The violence conducted by Srilankan army against tamil children and women is as vulnerable as LTTE's suicide atttacks. Definetely, India and otehr political community should make peace efforts and give WIN-WIN situation to Tamils and srilankans.

LTTE is a terrorist organization who have killed, bombed, maimed scores of innocents all in the name of Eelam. We need to investigate who funds such terrorist organizations and book them all under money laundering. May be you also will be netted in to this. LTTE killed my PM. If you cannot accept this, I suggest that you break away from this country. We will not allow TN to break away from India. We all know what happened to DMKs slogan of thani tamil nadu of the 60s. Dear Selvam.. Be cool. Listen to your soul first and then come to the stage of suggestion. Listen to the cries of thousands of your (not your)tamil brothers/sisters in Ealem. Listen to the sufferings of many innocent people. Dont see the one side happeneings. Be a neutral man for ever. Be a cool man in the sensitive matters of world. Appropriation of properties and basic rights, avoidance of basic needs to the people by its own government, raping of women invariable of age, killing of innocents by torturrous ways etc... may instigate yourself also to take the guns in your holy hand. U are not experienced or exposed to such brutality. Thats why U are blaming LTTE and others. U look after the way of LTTS's struggle. There will be a genuineity, justice and discipline unlike your Indian army or Sri Lanka army. Remember one thing that no body can hide the truth and no one could prevent the person to become a stage/chair who deserve for it. Ealem is determined to come out; LTTE is deserved to rule the Ealem; Dont waste your time and dont become heart patient by showing your biased agony on others.

The article is written by someone who doesnt have a heart and feelings towards fellow sufferers at their motherland. LTTE is the only organisation which has the will and courage for fighting for the rights of srilankan tamils. An organisations struggle for freedom is defined as a freedom struggle or terroristic activity depending upon who is governing the country. For your kind information, even Indis's struggle for freedom was named as terroristic activity, a revolt against a state. The very people whom today we praise as our heroes like Bhagat Singh, Nethaji and others, according to the rulers of the yester years were terrorists. Even if you do not have the backbone to acknowledge the genuine fight for rights by the LTTE dont malign them. No one has the moral authority to sit on judgement on LTTE's struggle.

Anyone who hasn't killed innocent civillians has the moral authority to comment on the deeds of the LTTE. Maybe you cannot for personal reasons criticize the terror tactics of the LTTE but WE CAN.
Ohh Mr Raman, I like your articles and I feel those articles have a strong nationalist view. As a patriotic Indian, I love them obviously. But if a leader is just an ultra nationalist with no compassion for the fellow human being, what we get is another Hitler.
Without air and Naval capabilities LTTE are not a force to reckon with. Without LTTE, Tamils are not even third class citizens in SL. Is that what you want and you really think that it will help India?? Look at what is happening in Nepal. Maoist who until this point not willing to part ways with their arms, are all set to join the national government. Maoists have the right to do so just because they are Nepalese who thought their rights were denied by the Royal government. But Tamils in SL don't have the same right, because they are not Sinhalese, huh?
Your article has so many references to Rajapakse's "conciliatory" offer. Mr. Raman, I strongly believe you are too smart to believe that it is indeed a conciliatory offer. Sinhalese governments have laid those kinds of traps many times before and I don't think LTTE is stupid enough to get into that again!
