First, her novel was utterly controversial, then she used her energy to disrupt development projects like Narmada dam. Now she wants to save tinted man who has helped terrorists to attack our parliament. She is really very dangerous and should be brought to the court to testify for her actions and beliefs.

I do not know why Arundati is creating so much hue and cry about a fellows death sentence, who's family, friends and he himself supports terrorism and seperatists. These people diserve death. I am a kashmiri Hindu and my father was in Army and my younger brother is in AIR FORCE. Why should anybody who supports attacks and killings of indians be spared. Why She never talks about killing of inocent Hindus , sikhs and some Muslims in Kashmir.. She is good writer, she should write about people who die for India and not who are support killings.
Does anyone ever say something so strongly in favor of lakhs of kashmiri pundits who became refugee in their own country. And what she is trying to prove is that the whole legal system is at fault and what she is telling is truth, can I ask what credentials she posses with respect to judiciary? The best way to get popular is to speak against the mainstream and she is doing the same and seems it's working for her.
This is disgusting. It is time for people to outrightly reject people like Arundathi Roy. We need the country to be safe first and we do not need such people crying for Afzal.
It is time such stupid comments, that hurt the miilions of peoples' sentiments, are not placed on the news of such respected sites as rediff. People like Arundhati have made it a habit of sensationalising themselves into news at regular intervals, and unfortunately they do it at the cost of this nations and thousands of sincere hard working people doing there duty without asking much in return. Their abuse of right of expression puts a question on the right itself. It is very dangerous.This must be stopped if we want to prevent people using media to abuse the nation and its people for the sake of some cheap undeserved publicity.

Arundhuti Roy is a person with a lot of empty rhetorics. I am not impressed with her sensitivity with this man called Afzal at all. I would like to ask her how many times has she made a plea in favor of the Kashmiri pandits in the past 15 years. I am amazed how these anti-national elements get newspaper coverage consistently. I have watched her here in the US (on live TV) at least twice. On both occasions she was saying so many negative things about India and its governments that I was suspicious as to what/who she really is representing. All her comments were as if they are coming out of pakistan or China. thanks
According to Ms. Arundhati Roy, the Supreme Court did not give Afzal a fair trial. Yet she wants Afzal to be retried by the same court! And why did not she hire a lawyer to fight for Afzal in the SC? Well Ms. Roy, you may think SC sucks, media sucks, security agencies suck - in short this country sucks but as a citizen of this country you can support a person convicted of waging war against the country without fear. For the same thing you would not long dead and gone if you were a citizen of the country that mentors people like Afzal. BUT THEN SUPPORTING A PERSON CONVICTED OF TREASON IS SOOOOO CUTIE PIE!!!!!
