Its a shameful hyprocisy!! Why doesn't the ISLAM law get applicable for Katrina Khan and other Muslim actors in the movies of Bollywood...Awful to see these kind of people exist today (Mullah's) When women are steering mission to Moon and everywhere...how do they have the slightest morale to object someone for dress code!!!!!! JESUS please cleanse these believers....

Why can't we just cut the crap and let the girl what she does best. After all, how many maulvis or the "Culture-Brigade" have gone so far in any field of human endeavour.

And yes, this maulvi is not an innocent-i-am-concerned-about-culture-corruption simpleton. He is a very shrewed guy - I mean he could never have been able to generate so much publicity for himself even in seventeen lives.

Do something constructive, positive - and if you can't do that - just let the ones that do, do and also, keep your mouth sealed.

What Islam Says?
by Syed Ahamed on Sep 17, 2005 12:40 AM  | Hide replies

Dear Readers,
Muslim is one who submits to the will of the Almighty Allah & we are only His slave. It is not only obligatory upon us to love our Allah but also constantly strive to be obedient to His Commandments mentioned in The Holy Quran & teachings of the Noble Prophet Muhammed(Peace be upon him).Allah says in Quran in many verses "Obey Me(Allah),Obey Prophet"
So in Quran(Chap Al-Ahzab(The Clan)V:59)Allah Commands
"O Prophet!tell thy wives & daughters & believing women, they should cast their cloaks over their body(when going out),that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such)& not molested. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving,Most Merciful"
Chap:An-Nur(Light)V31
"And tell the believing women to lower their gaze & guard their modesty; should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) is apparent;they draw their veils over their bosoms & not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical need"

Mr Ahmed The quotations are from the year 800 A.D, so times have changed a bit, something like 1200 years have passed and there are more things available to titillate men then women showing their faces and legs. Try the internet you would get to see a LOT more, even hindi films are more revealing than Sania Mirza, soif you have to have immodestly covered muslim women to cover up please first get some clothes on Nigar Khan ( so much for Iranian women being modest) rather than look at a soft target like Sania.

Hypocrites

The maulvi / organization have done this just to get him and his organization in news. This is just a publicity stunt. Why didn't any Muslim or organization ever issue a ban or fatwa on any of the MUSLIM Bollywood heroines? They won't dare, underworld won't forgive them then.
This whole issues tells the best about the mentality of such people and there care for their religion.

The media, including websites, as always will lick there finger on such spicy news instead of condemning them.

Its a waste of time writing such articles, reading such articles and commenting.... just leave that girl alone and let her concentrate on her tennis rather then what she should wear.

Dear friend ,
What do u know about Islam & its teachings?Let alone Islam what do you know about Hinduism? I dont blame you because u have been greatly influenced by the false propagation by media about Islam. Even some muslims may have the the same opinion like u.
If u r interested then read my message.
As muslims we are bound to submit to our creator Allah & we are just His slaves, obliged to obey His commandments & to cherish & worship him.

I challenge you if you learn about islam then will you know this truth.

Please dont make any comments about a subject that u have very less knowledge about. How can u accuse somebody an extremist without even knowing anything about him.

In Islam the one who is firm in his religion is superior in the eyes of Allah than anything else. This doent stop one from enjoying the bounties that Allah has provided us
Brother if u want to learn about islam then u r more welcome to contact me or u can even go to ur local mosque they will help u.

Regards,
Syed.

hahahhahaa, My.Syed i must say your so funny. I think you are born in the wrong century or maybe you stepped in a time machine which brought you here right from the 12th century. The best part of this message is when Mr.Syed refers to Sonali as "Brother". Moron, Sonali is a girl and if she went to a local mosque she might end up getting married to some freak Arab for a night. Honestly, Mr.Syed you have had a religious overdose. Take my word just chill and down a couple of beers, that should make life better for you.
Cheers,
Aditya

Dear all and Rediff,

I am a NRI settled in Silicon Valley. People here get very excited when some one from back home makes their mark. I have been to her match in NewYork and Stanford, First of all whats your point, after a long time in women's tennis Sania is the only representation for India. You guys (media) should talk about her tennis not her dress code, how naive of you to compare India Muslims with Iran Muslims, If you want to criticize sania criticize about her game, do constructive criticism, she has a lot of work to do on serve. Don't make a deal about her dress code. Some Islamic extremist said some thing stupid you don't have to analyze that. Do you and every body a favor write no more articles.
