I am not for rewriting Hinduism

And this one: "Someone said history may not be palatable at all times but one has to live with it rather than trying to change it..." Who is this *someone* .. Can you please clarify? It is your own biased mind Ms interviewer! What do you mean you have to live with it? Are you crazy? History should reflect true facts based on clearer understanding and rational approach. Not one - "never ready to change despite scientific evidences" type commie approach. You people really uffer from anti-hindu complex and anything *Hinmdu* is simply not liked by you. Extremely rotten mind Not ready to think objectively and make sens out of facts and evidences. What is the difference between you and Osamas ? None!!! Both are equally stupid stuck in the beliefs!! grow up..
Will you care to publish the name of the interviewer Rediff??? So readers know who is this sufferer??

Rediff has not published the name of the interviewer. Why? You have always been pubishing the name of the reporter who conducts interviews. Why are you silent in this case? Why act in disguise? Let your readers know who is who.

This one is really funny: "Do you think the changes/edits sought by the Hindu groups and effected are reflective of the opinions of all Hindus?" It clearly shows that reporter lacks experience and maturity. Now, come on, tell me which organization will voice concern to which ALL community members will be in agreement. Obviously none as some will aleays disagree. So how stupid is this question where the answers are obvious? Also it reflects interviewer's biased mind and inability to view anything with rational mind. All questions (surprisingly none pertaining to the content of the changes and on their validity) reflect that interviewer himseld is dead against the changes. A typical psudo-secular approach and lacks approach to validate the changes. Really sick of such such biased one-side approach of today's media.
....Continues in nex comment ....

The original name of Hinduism is Sanathana Dharma which was prevalent world over. Other Religions have a starting point may be two to three thousand years only. The basic practices and values as revealed in Vedas are still practiced by other Religions with new names. Hence nothing to worry.

Hinduism Curriculum

The efforts to change curriculum in US schools to project Hinduism in proper and true light are praise worthy; but the intentions look to implement hidden agenda of nationalist organisations in India.
The mention of Aryan Race having its origin in India and being earlier to Indus Valley Civilisation by so called recent archaeological findings is proof of this. These so called findinga have been the dubious interpretations by the head of archaeological survey of India during regime of BJP and have been contested.
The very existence for these tailered made findings was to answer to the critics who question the contention of nationalist Hindu forces that Muslims of this country have foreign origin where as Aryans are native to this place. The fact is that very miniscule percentage of Muslims are descendents of the invaders from West Asia. Most of Indian Muslims are natives, belong to back ward and poor classes who got converted to Islam in 12th. Century as Islam gave them equality which was denied to them in then existing rigid Brahminical society. The above facts may have some historical significance and be left to professional historians else these will disunite India.

Doubting the intentions of any serious attempt at Hindu Assertiveness has been the hallmark of all these pseudo-seculars like Mr. Gulati. I am happy that the likes of Mr. Gulati were not present in the era when Galilio and Keplar questioned the then most accepted Geo-centric model of the universe. These narrow-minded "seculars" always talk about some hidden agenda behind questioning the now most accepted theory of "Aryan Invasion". History repeats itself. Then it was the Pope and his narrow-minded papacy that sounded a decree against Galilio for questioning the very catholic but most unscietific model of Geo-centric Universe. Now it is the likes of Mr. Gulati that go around sounding a "fatwa" against anyone who questions the theory of "Aryan Invasion"
I dare say that there is not a hidden but a very overt agenda by the leftist historians to reject anything that has even a subliminal shade of Saffron. Why don't they come up with logical arguments in favour of "Aryan Invasion" instead of talking about hidden agenda?

Atul Chandra
Hinduism and Caste
by Atul Chandra on Dec 30, 2005 05:51 PM

My thanks to persons like Ms Suhag Shukla and HAf for taking up this very seriously needed work.
Semitic religions are based on abusing practices of other religions, their followers are willing to pour filth on others. If as is the case with most of them, they have the resources of Power, Intellect and Money they are able to say and make people believe anything.
However, may I point out that Caste Sytem has been in many other societies in the past. In India, however, it has survived till date.
Reason for formation and survival of Caste System is relative isolation of the place from other places through reasons of its Geography. As soon as the isolation was shattered, the stable, static society's feudal structures-including Caste Systems were also shattered.
India with it's unique Geography of relative isolation, vast landmass full of natural resources allowing long term coexistence, spread and perpetuation of social norms was unable to break this feudal structure. The first real outside influence which tested and questioned the system was the experience with Britishers.
Hinduism and Caste System may both be said to be twin offsprings of India's geography but neither is parent.

Nothing new in the answers. But it is the questions that reveal what is wrong with the Hinduism. The qustioner deserves to be awarded at least a Bharat Ratna if not more.
