Religious Intolerance, fanaticism, Ignorance and lack of Patrotism is hallmark of Islamic followere today...
by suraj on Jul 30, 2004 01:30 PM

Good article. Like it or not but this is factual and Correct. U cannot belittle History. Pls note the religion has com up through fighting several wars without any value system or scientific base. The only way they can survive & propogate religion is thru Fanaticism, religious intolerance and illeteracy / brn washing their illogical / irrelevant principles to small children from very young age by teaching in Madrasas which are compulsory for devout. The population of intolerant to educated tolerant are 99:1 today. This is threat for any society and law & order US, European or Indian.Afghanistan & Iraq are live examples of Terrorism & religious intolerance the other name being JEHAD.
Friends, especially those who disagree, u will only see Muslims having disbeleif, secretive, aggressive and fanatics. Dont blame them blame their religious leaders and BEWARE & BE ALERT, they can stab the backs of friends, well wishers, countries ANYTIME & EVERY TIME. This has been mine and sebveral people Indian & foreigners with whom I have interacted....
DONT BE CRITICAL OF THIS ARTICLE, BUT CATCH THE UNDERTONE. This was history, present and now the future and you have to live with it.
JAI HIND.

This is a masterpiece !!!
by Surya on Jul 30, 2004 01:21 PM

Tell me .. out of 100 terrorist attacks that happen in India atleast 99 of them , muslims are involved. They are the root cause of all the evils in this Nation. Iam not a RSS or VHP supporter but our Nation is drowning only because of Islams. They should be thrown out of any other non-islamic country and be isolated from the rest of the world. Not only in India even in world wide terrorism they are the ones who take the lead. Arvind Lavakare you have written a great aticle and you should be proud of this.

Jayhind !

Nice One
by YG on Jul 30, 2004 01:16 PM

Thats preety fine thing put up by the author, as we Indians just believe what our politions used to spell out. But we also must have an habit of looking out the facts.
As today everybody blaming RSS-BJP for the Gujarat but forgets what they did in Delhi and other places.
For their benefits Congress donot let Muslims to get educated and let themn think in broader prospects for the sake of their votes. They consider such a nice community as minority and also do not let this country follow a common civil code so that others feel Muslime as outsider .

Solution to problem
by Ketan Mandani on Jul 30, 2004 01:08 PM

Let me ask you,, if people of Gujarat were that violent, Megha patkar and Co., who have caused Gujarat the loss of more than 3 years budget, by opposing Narmada dam construction and succeeding in delaying the project, is still alive.

Again coming to religion, muslims have been wrongly pampered by the people who pretend to be their well wisher. They only keep the community backward.

The solution lies in constitution itself.. In the name of minority muslims have been provided various benefits more than other minorities. Are the sikhs who want to go to Amritsar, paid a subsidy? Or christians who wish to go to Vetican city or Jerusalam, paid a subsidy. Nor are the jains paid anything. They are even less in number than muslims.. who has created this difference? Now they are willing to offer them 5% reservation in AP state and then in entire country. where are those pseudo secularists? why dont they talk anything about having a common civil code? why different marriage and divorse rules for them? why all citizens in India shouldnt have common set of laws guiding them? When this happens, perhaps the gap between two religions, two beliefs, would become less. But no one is interested

thanks for being daring in pointing out the facts
by pranjal kumar on Jul 30, 2004 01:02 PM

In the war of concepts the Indian Psedo-secularists (most of whom are hindus) have always ignored to look away from the facts. Most of the harms to India and to the broadminded sprrit of hinduism have come from these people. Your article is highly welcome. It is high time everybody really considered these facts and got the correct perspective about various issues which unnecessarily denigrade India.

Truely Said..
by Ketan Mandani on Jul 30, 2004 12:50 PM

I agree with the views of Mr. Levekar completely. The Indian Media has acted the worst in times of riots

The people who talked about riots talked about post Godhara riots and no one cared for those who were killed in train. Secondly Muslim community is not a community to keep quiet in riots. Several Hindus have been killed. No one speaks about that. Media has been depicting only muslim victims in their headlines and news; constantly showing one side of story and this excites hundreds of other muslims in the country arousing them to come out of their homes with a weapon. If they kill some innocent people, who is responsible for that..
Moreover, Journalists like Rajdeep Sardesai, and others were trying to prove that Godhara incident was not pre planned, but was spontaneous as kar sevaks teased a muslim woman and so they reacted !! How rubbish !! Even if true, if teasing one woman justifies reaction in form of killing of 59 pilgrims, imagine, killing of 59 pilgrims should justify reaction in form of killings of how many muslims?
Petrol was not thrown from outside, it was thrown from within!! who were the 1500 people throwing stones from outside not allowing any one to come out?

very good piece of work
by sameer on Jul 30, 2004 12:33 PM

What a nice piece of information you have gathere-d. Really need a matured opinion, and above all you should have seen all these things by your own eyes, then only one can write such articles. Sir,i am reffe-ring to the meaning of genocide which you have so nicely explained with so workable examples
Sir, but i think that the date of the first Hindu Muslim riot in India was 1602 AD and it occured in gujrat, that day was the day of Holi when some Hindu youth's entered in an area of muslims.
The work of other writers which you have mentioned in your article are also very informative.
In short, i would like to say that waging jehad or an armed struggle can never be a solution of a thing but can only create confusions and hatred between muslims and other communities of this world.
Sir, i am also a kashmiri pandit and thats why i know lot about the people and there thinking over there. Thememories of childhood and my recent visits to kashmir have always shown me something which have shaken me upto my deep within.
Sir, i would like to share my experiences with u that i have experienced in kashmir that i have shared with none other yet.
PLZ CONTACT ME.

A good article.
by Gayathri on Jul 30, 2004 12:30 PM

A good article. As the author rightly pointed out, the fact remains that 'Muslims cannot co-exist with non-Muslims'. How else can the critics of the article justify only one particular community's towering presence in terrorising countries all across the globe.India especially has borne the brunt in form of attacks on its Parliament, on temples like Akshardham, etc.
Certainly, not all muslims are terrorists but something must certainly be done to control the situation before it gets worse in India.
