Who should hold high office in Indian Poltics.
by Patrick on Feb 02, 2004 04:15 PM

It is a shame our so called feary, bankrupt, fearsome politicians like Mahajan should come up with these kinds of shameful statements!. Who is behind these statements!?. Our top politician must have chosen Mahajan to utter these words and that politician/s must be hiding behind maha jan. It is really shame to say when our Indian origin people aspire and are Prime ministers in FIJI and Mauritius, we keep them in shadow of our own Indianism and call other true indian patriots being non Indians. Let MAHAJAN and others who have prompted him to utter these shameful statement name the Indians who are pure , and totally born to both Indian mother and fatherto remain in office and advice the Soupreme court of India to ebar them from holding political post and resign or dismiss at once. It is SHAME MAHAJAN you being a HUMAN!.

by Dayanand Poojary on Feb 02, 2004 04:06 PM

I request Mahajan to trace the origin of Mr. L.K.Advani hin Metor and Dy. P.M. of India first, before making any statement against any body else.

Statement of Mr. Mahajan about rahul and pryanka
by A K GUPTA on Feb 02, 2004 04:02 PM  | Hide replies

This is the frustation of Mr. Pramod Mahajan, making staement about the being indian of Rahul and Pryanka.

Whatever may be the outcome of this election one thing is certain that if both are decided to contest the election their win is certain hence, BJP,s nos will go dawn by two seats.

I also think MR. Pramod mahajan has forgotten about the sacrifies made by their father and grand mother Late prime Ministers Shri Rajeev and Smt Indra Gandhi.

Sacrifice??
by Raju on Feb 23, 2004 03:26 PM
I think, you are not aware of the differences between sacrifice and accidents. Were the so mentioned sacrificing people without any security? Once was shot by the security itself and the other was also with Z catogery of security? Were they going out without any gunmen as was Swamy Vivekananda or Sreeramakrishna Paramahamsa or Mahatma Gandhi? What sacrifice did the so mentioned people do except for ensuring the continuation of dynasty rule? I am sick of this argument about the sacrifice done by them.

'Rahul, Priyanka are Indian'
by AJAI on Feb 02, 2004 03:59 PM

We already have a highly fragmented society, religion, geography, states, caste, and economic status. We don't need more ideas from Mr. Mahajan.

Every Indian need not aspire to be the PM
by Rajeev Venkat on Feb 02, 2004 03:59 PM

I agree that Mr.Pramod Mahajan's statement has some inherent flaws but that does not hide away the fact or point he wants to make and the importance of it. No to elaborate on the flaws of his statement, Children of Indian parents would mean that even if grand parents were not Indians, naturally one of the parent wont be Indian by that definition, so its cyclical loop.

But there is no denying that the top constitutional posts SHOULD be reserved for Indians. Dont give us examples of Bobby Jindal & Mahendra Chaudhry to convince why Sonia should be the PM. I care less if Bobby Jindal would have won or eventually lost. I only want that the day never comes when we have to see a Sonia a person who spent all her life in Italy and took Indian citizenship many many years after her marriage to be the PM of India.

I dont think you can prohibit Rahul or Priyanka from being PM by any yardstick but then are we so bereft of thoughts to be even discussing this? I think Mr.Mahajan would do himself and all self respecting Indians a favour by not even raising the topic or giving rejoinders. Reacting or commenting on the issue is only doing a service and as for Omar Abdullahs opinion-Who Cares?
