Another Excuse
by Manish on Sep 24, 2003 11:54 PM

This has nothing to do with 'abuse'. How long can you expect microsoft to provide free service. Real reason is going pay. Wait till they announce hotmail is going paid only service. They will cite simillar reason.

msn chat - at msn's risk
by Ramakrishnan on Sep 24, 2003 10:00 PM

It seems that the reason behind the closure of msn chat is that Microsoft is not able to contain the damages and also msn is not concerned about the real chat users and they need money for everything that they do for the constemers

Good work!!!
by Nishank on Sep 24, 2003 08:33 PM

Being a regular chatter myself, in my younger days, I welcome the decision by Microsoft. Net chatting is surely not what it used to be, and today it has far more negatives than posaitives. Children being coerced, marriages beingbroken, spam that becomes a headache for one and all... way to go go microsoft.

It goes to show that u care....

MSN to shut down chat rooms
by cm parmar on Sep 24, 2003 08:05 PM

Since Chat Rooms are the only source for the people of distance to have a chat and conversation, it will not be advisable to discontinue the chat rooms.

MSN may kindly reconsider the decision in view of the fact that the needy parents - children relations should not be affected.

Shut Down of MSN Messenger in India and abroad..
by chittasseri on Sep 24, 2003 07:27 PM

Communication is an art.. However... if it is not properly used for knowledge and experimenting the same for unhealthy practices is not advisable. But MSM Messenger like instant commucations are very usefully used for knowledge sake is approriately streamlined and cannot be restricted to the Adults. Picturised programmes through chatting and sending files and photos can be restricted..
