Suits him fine!

Good to know that the truth and justice still prevail above everything else in our country. While death sentence to a fellow human being is not my most favored option, I still feel it is worthwhile in getting rid of mis-guided wastrels such as Dara Singh who in the name of religion tend to plunder our legacy of tolerance. May the death of Dara Singh end atleast one chapter in the dark pages of Indian history, and may the souls of Mr. Graham Staines and his young sons rest in peace!

Three cheers to our judicial system. These barbaric acts must only meet with such ends irrespective of the religions.

Justice
by Navs on Sep 22, 2003 05:44 PM

I'm happy that the hooligans have met their fate but who is going to punish the more dangerous leaders of Sangh who instigated those tribals to commit this crime? Who is going to punish people like Praveen Togadia and Singhal, who openly ridicule the law and order of our country? Who is going to punish Modi and gang for Gujarat? The bottomline is that only the poor criminals get convicted. Those in power go scotfree, thumping their chests with pride, ready to commit more henious crimes.

death sentence for Dara Singh
by Mrs fatema on Sep 22, 2003 05:41 PM

I am very happy with the death sentence he should be punished after what he did to innocent lives. and the rest of the 12 are also no innocentpeople they are also guilty. how could they burn alive little childrent how could they do that. while doing that they were not innocent or poor people they were barbarians. and dara singh i think had started thinking of himself as leader of all people, he did not even have remorse on his face.

by Biswajit Mohapatra on Sep 22, 2003 05:33 PM

though i never favour of religious conversion but i am very very happy with this verdict assumingthat at last the justice has done.. social criminal like dara singh shd be hanged till death.. also the court has to deliver the same sentence to all as death.. they are not required in a civilized society..

Truth triumphs!
by Dhanasekaran on Sep 22, 2003 05:27 PM

Truth triumphed in this case!It is not like the Chennai High Court's judgement in the Tamilnadu Employees' strike which failed to see justice at all angles. And the Supreme court's judgement also. While condemning the strike, the court had failed to see the basic causes for the strike. An employee who is looking for the retirement benefits to uplift the family,is breft of all benefits.Let the exchequer spending for the security be reduced.Helicopter is luxury and the ambassador is appropriate!
Earlier people, the politicians of higher order said that Dara Singh is not connected with the burning and brutal murder of Staines.
Kudos to the investigators of crime!
Still people can have faith in the jurisprudence!
Deep appreciations to the investigators!
Natural justice prevails!

Long live indian judiciary. This was the right punishment. It should have been given long back. Anyway, people will have some faith in judiciary now. The punishment for such henious crimes should be death.People should think ten times before commiting such crimes.
