The unstated mission sttement of Pakistan is "Khuda ke naam se Khuraafat" which, loosely translated means "mischief in the name of Khuda / Allah". We must realise that this is a country formed of people that shed their neighbours' blood, not their own, to achieve statehood.
The peace between India nad pakistan is possible only on the terms dictated bu Uncle Sam(USA). Both Indian & pakistani leadership have no alternative but to bow down to it.Otherwise Uncle Sam knows how to handle both these countries.Lavkare,gone are the days when we had great leaders ruling this country like Indira Gandhi,L. B. Shastri and to some extent Rajiv Gandhi. Can you guarantee about the present Indian leadership.Neither the PM or the deputy PM are capable of saying 'No' to the USA. In fact its not hidden that USA is intervening the Kashmir issue.Only thing it is behind the Curtain.Henceforth the US intervention is going to increase in the indian sub-continent.This has started with the Kargil war.No indian leader is capable of putting a halt to US hegemony.On the other hand Our real enemy China(The communist China.....I'm condeming China..otherwise I would be branded as a communist) is not recognizing Arunachal Pradesh as part of india.But our Great Vajpayeeji recognised Tibet as integral part of China(though we know that China has invaded Tibet).Celebrate the Kargil 'Vijay' and escort the terrorist till Kandahar(IC-814 hijack). Nice to read an article by Mr.Lavakare that for a change does not unnecessarily indulge in Nehru-bashing over Kashmir. As the article shows, there is no real need for it. When the proper sequence of events that took place has been revealed, it becomes clear that the India took a correct legal stand over the issue. Pakistan only escaped being exposed later on because the cold war cast its shadow over all international matters. However, because of the validity of our position, we have been complacent in nailing Pakistani lies about J&K as well as the UN resolution. Our PR has often been lagging behind Pakistan's. We would despair when Pakistan would raise the Kashmir issue in international fora, instead of going full blast at them by continuously giving the international community the full facts and the correct picture. Instead we kept saying it is a bilateral issue, leaving the field open for Pakistan to spread its version.

True my friend True. india was partioned because hindu and muslims cannot stay together..right??? thats what the big muslim leaders said. Well and good but what happened hindus were driven out from pakistan but muslims stayed and were equally (read better) treated in India because India is a secular country.
Now Kashmir needs a peblicite because there is a muslim majority in kashmir WHY????? India is a secular country now and should not be divided on the basis of religion RIGHT. so either we stay secular with no part getting divided on the basis of religion or you know the Answer....
Mr.You could not negate 1952 UN Resolution Pak-China agreement clearly mentions that whenever Kashmir issue will be discussed and final settlements will going to be achieved that part of Kashmir under Chines Control will also be part of that settlement. Shouting Lie Lie can not Change Facts
As usual, this is an excellent,well researched work by Mr Lavkare.Unfortunately, flies and not honey bees dominate the Indian media world and lies,distortions and misrepresenations are the order of the day in our great country.The pakistani mentality remains the same as that of Ghazni who cut off the head of Paratp Singh Chauhan in the seventh war although Mr Ghazni was pardoned all the previous 6 times by Pratap Singh in the six previous wars!!Pakistan still kills using terrorist agents and hate ideology,thousands of our soldiers and civilians in Kashmir and other places and has eliminated the hindu,sikh minority and their places of worship in that ghost country after partition and still says that India and indians are their worst enemy! Still we give free treatment to pakistani children, costing crores of rupees while thousands and thousands of our own children are dying every day not getting proper basic treatment even!One can say that India is really a banana republic or that its leaders want to rule just to get international image and publicity and not to improve the lives of the majority of the citizens ;they seem to be more bothered about the militant minority,instead!

Section A2 was complied as the tribesmen were driven out of Indian J&K, and in Pak J&K they were sent home & security taken over by Pak troops. Thereafter under Sections A3 & B1 there was to be a staged simultaneous withdrawal of troops from both sides under supervision of the Commission. Your contention that there was to be a complete withdrawal of Pak forces without any reciprocity or schedule/stages for the Indian withdrawal, is a complete distortion of facts.
During 1950 & 1951 a number of UN representations by Sir Owen Dixon & Dr. Frank Graham, and Commonwealth missions visited India & Pakistan to thrash out the modalities for the demilitarisation so the plebiscite could be held. Pakistan agreed to all the proposals, but were rejected by India, and all the missions reported their failures due to the intransigence of Nehru.
From 1948 till 1957, a total of 2 UN General Assembly Resolutions & 11 SC Resolutions, were follow-up of initial/previous Resolutions, taking into account the UN representatives' reports & progress, on the modalities of demilitarisation & holding of the plebiscite. None of these Resolutions called for a complete unilateral withdrawal of Pak force
