Saddam is a hero already ...
by Mohit Kapoor on Apr 02, 2003 05:19 PM

All of us have always believed that war should be the last resort, but US/UK thought otherwise .. broke all the barriers and got into the territory of Iraq. These are two bully nations and should be stopped. What saddam did to kurds other people is his own business having weapons of destruction to protect his valuable oil from US/UK is justified, US/UK and other developing countries have only developed the weapons and sold it to other countries why did'nt they think about it then ?? Saddam is fighting like a hero, protecting his motherland from enemies having most adavnced weapons that too with ordinary stuff is brilliant. They are still in pursuit of Osama bin laden, now there are two. I support saddam and salute him for his heroism.

It need guts to be a SADDAM..
by Raghav Mittal on Apr 02, 2003 04:44 PM

Saddam Hussain is showing the entire world that how come even a small nation , deprived in numerous way can take on to the mightiest , just on the basis of conviction and self-prestige.

The morale of the IRAQI forces should be adored.

Indian leaders should take a cue from Saddam's firmness. They should not become the US poodles like the "Great" Britain. They should have their boldness and firm stand considering the welfare of the Indian masses.

As far as the outcomes of this war is concerned, the seeds of a deeper conflict between the materialistic west and the theocratic Arab World have been sown. The poisonous fruits of this sapling are to come in the very near future.

In the forthcoming age of conflict , Indian philosophy would have greater role to play. A progressive world can only be established on the ageold vedic principle of "vasudhaiva kutumbakam" and "sarve bhavantu sukhinah". Until or unless the world adopts spiritualism as the guiding principle , there would be no peace and harmony..

by Firoz Ali Sayed on Apr 02, 2003 04:32 PM

I appreciate the inside review / comments / forecast in Iraq by this son of my nation.I'm proud of u and hope will the same be with all Iraqis with their soldiers and i will say that this war is not for relieving / democratize Iraq but to control the Islamic influence in the world with Oil the major factor.

Secondly, i now hate personally Bush and his fore fathers for this stupid and senseless child.

What he wants to prove here...

Tell me what is he getting for America by killing innocent civilians.,

Allah will never foregive a person who cannot do justice completely.

Iraq war
by Manoharan on Apr 02, 2003 04:08 PM

Is there any truth in the various reports by Western media journalists that the Iraqi civilians are still affraid of supporting the Allied Forces as they are still not sure of Saddam's oust by US/UK forces?

It is very interesting to note that most of the Al Qaida terrorists are captured from Pakistan and not from IRAQ.

It's beginning of a long drawn war.
by Dr. Sanjeev on Apr 02, 2003 04:04 PM

I feel, whatever may be the consequences of Iraq. It's going to be a long drawn war betweeen the west and the gulf. US intervention is not humanitarian and is fraught with danger of exposition of political and economic motives behind the war. It would lead to huge loss of face to Mr. Bush and put the entire community open to terrorrism throught the world. God bless! it's not the seedling for III world war.

Saddam will never surrender
by NELSON on Apr 02, 2003 04:03 PM

It is quite an interesting article by Lt. Gen. K.S. Randhawa (Retd.).

I agree with Lt. Gen. Randhawa that Saddam will never surrender, but will commit suicide for the simple reason that a person of his credentials would prefer death, rather than face the ignominy of surrender. A classic example is Adolph Hitler. Saddam is a desperate person who has lived by the sword and would either perish by the sword or, if not, end his life.

I feel U.S. and coalition forces are superior to Iraqis and that is why the latter have not engaged them in warfare in the wide open spaces of the desert, which is an ideal setting for armoured and mobile warfare.

Iraqis would prefer to engage coalition forces in Baghdad, which is advantageous to defenders. Due to paucity of space, I would not go into details but just recall the famous words of the famous Field Marshal Yamamoto of the Imperial Japanese Navy after the successful bombing of Pearl Harbour: "all we have done is aroused a sleeping giant and filled him with resolve". USA is a land of resources and a financial, economic, agricultural, industrial and military power and Iraq will just crumble in days to come.

The question is how long will the Iraqis be able to defend? Whatever resources they had up to end of 1990, they have squandered in various ways and since 12 years they have faced sanctions. All this just because of a brutal dictator. As an oil rich state, it should have been one of the richest countries in the world.

I wish to enlighten Lt. Gen. Randhawa (Retd.) that Americans are fighting with a reason and that is Iraq's oil. However, they will not admit it, but they always say that they want to get rid of Saddam and bring freedom to Iraqis.

Having said this, Iraq would be a better place without the present regime because presently the people are living in complete fear of their lives.

Any right thinking man would want Iraq to be properous like other States in the region, viz. Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, etc. In post-Saddam era, Iraq would have a bright future as regards development of its economy and people.

Saddam's Streatgy
by Jitendra Chaudhary on Apr 02, 2003 03:52 PM

Saddam Hussain is playing his streatgy very well,He want to drag to war into summers, when US/UK soldiers would not be able to survive in desert, then he would attack. But I feel, US would play some Political game before deep summer start, the old ceasefire game, they would come back again in Winters. That is for sure.

by Bhagat Kapoor on Apr 02, 2003 03:46 PM

Surely Saddam will not only never surrender but also will be able to teach lesson to these war criminals and evil team of Bush Blair.

It all some one has to surrender, it is this team of warmongers who pose real threat to the world peace due to their vasted, nasty inetrests of imeriolism.

Whole world is in the waiting list. If not wakeup now, it will be anybodys turn afetr Ira.

Wakeup before time runs out. Stop and punish this team of real terrorists who are illigaly attacking Iraq, killing innocent citizens in the name of democraacy, plan to kill Saddam and then having future plans of attacking other countries.

Bush blair and their countrymen, who support them and donot overthrow them, are the real threat to the world peace, and not the Saddam.

by Sachin Pai on Apr 02, 2003 03:37 PM

Mr. Bush & Mr. Blair do not have any rights to invade into territory of any country. Just for the sake of oil & money they r murdering innocent Iraqis. We r now in the 21st century. We shouild focus on unemployment, poverty, health, economic progress, etc. imp. issues. But instead of that, the president of a country where world's largest techno-wizard residents live is taking the entire world back to the 19th century. Shame on u Mr. Bush & Mr. Blair!
