Dear Lt! U sounds bersk!!
by Rajeev on Apr 02, 2003 06:47 PM

God save my country from such Lt's who sounds like never been able to finish their primary education and claiming to be WESTERNISED. Wow! this general sounds very excited. And one more gliff which i had..why ask these generals and lieutenants (who would never learn more than loading a rifle and drinking RUM all day long after retirement) all such heavy questions. Ask specialists, media workers, middle east experts such analysis-oriented questions. Do ya really expect a head over the shoulders of such Lt's and generals??

Iraq or US Support
by Ashutosh Khanna on Apr 02, 2003 06:18 PM

People generally remembers who was with them in crisis
Saddam and Bush will be both gone some times, its countries and people will be their.
Indian are appriciated both by Iraqies and US.
So Indian should be Aligned more towards Iraq, it does not mean no to US, at present US does'nt bother who is willing or not.

Kashmir issue will be delt more seriously by US amd UN in couple of years time, thats my opinion.

Bush is saying the war is for Iraqi Freedom, but he missed here, he should say Iraqi Liberation, means Operation Iraqi Liberation(OIL).
Bush sholud also remember Saddam Husain is more expereinced of war than the collective experence of all Americans.

Saddam will never surrender
by Gregory Lyall on Apr 02, 2003 05:42 PM

This is very true. Saddam will never surrender rather he will die as A patriotic HERO. On the other hand it will be difficult for Jr. Bush to resist his people against WAR on enemy which average Americans do not Know about.

Thanks.

The General sounds logical. Here, some shout nonsense!!
by Bala on Apr 02, 2003 05:39 PM

I find the General's assesment about the progress of the war FAIR and LOGICAL. He just says Saddam will make heavy loss to US forces, before the war ends. Like the frustated anglo-american soldiers have started shooting down civilians in the battlefield, here in this forum, frustated american supporters are putting forward illogical and wrong arguments. I wish to clear some of them here. 1) America winning this war after devastating Iraq will lead to more terrorism than it winning the war after heavy losses. So the later is good for India 2) 1991 Gulf war I ended in 4 days from the start of Ground war(Feb 24th-Feb28th 8 am). Certainly this Gulf war II has extended so far by at least 100% from what US projected initially and is expected to go on for months. This is what is called as a slow progress. 3) If one Iraqi soldier killing 4 US soldiers and himself is called a suicide attack, US inflicting heavy damage on Iraq by loosing the lives of many of its own men and women should also be called a suicide attack on a bigger scale. When every war is a suicide attack, how come one suicide attack in a war alone becomes illegitimate? You cant expect a suicide attack from the US! - absurd. But you can expect missiles in market places, blind shooting of a family (no suicide bomber moves as a family along with women and kids.), hitting of a TV station, micro wave pulse bombs to blow up hearts with pace-makers etc. etc.. 5) And finally the ridiculous one like An old general talking about current war. War is all about strategy, stupid! Technology is only the means. What Sun-tzu(in Art of war) said 3000 years ago holds good even now. Old generations wisdom matters a lot!!

Saddam will never surrender
by krishnan Raajamani on Apr 02, 2003 05:25 PM

I am sure President Saddam will never surrender. I support Saddam, in whose country of Iraq, I lived for 3 years, for his courage to stand up this unjustified war irrespective of the outcome of this war.
