why to blame public
by YP SINGH on Nov 22, 2017 05:20 PM  | Hide replies

History has always been a controversial subject, moreover the Mughal era and British era has been written to glorify the rulers, had the Mughal era not been approaching the end at the time when Aurangzeb was ruling he too would have been termed as a very secular and peace loving, ruler like Akbar who believed in equality of all religion. As such making a film on this subject and also not clarifying what exactly has been projected in film with regard to character of Padmavati by film producers makes the film controversial. truly no sect or caste religion should compromise with their glory and history. you visit any remains of any historical monuments and just think how the builders of that place, rulers of that place had fought and laid their life in protection of that land. over the period the film makers have taken for granted that people will accept and digest anything be it hurt their sentiments. There are many films which have not been cleared by sensor board then why so much roar over this film.

The Padmavati controversy is a desperate diversion/distraction needed by the PM - no one else including RSS would or could dare do these things. The Moodys is a pathetic last straw, Indian judge on ICJ is another diversion. The displeasure in the country is solely because every single decision and every single thing and every single foreign tour has been undertaken when there was just no outcry for any such thing, including DeMon, GST etc. There are many, many other things which are hurting us but the govt. still feels that regaling oratory will revive the150-odd people who died in bank queues, will make people starve because of all round mehangai. Would BJP have got the LS results if they had spoken of these things and the illogical (though desirable) "shouchalayas"? Where is the water for cleaning the toilets in every home? It may be essential to save every rupee by scrapping the bullet train, ayurveda, gaushalas, patanjali, yoga and Ganga.

I will not watch
by Manohar Rao on Nov 22, 2017 04:39 PM  | Hide replies

Because, it has became a norm nowadays to get into some or other controversy to get free publicity.
I request others too not to watch this movie not for the other reasons but to teach such filmmakers a lesson, so that they do intensive research before selecting or working on film, so that it does not get negative publicity.
Producers will have the last laugh because they are going to gain a lot, may be more than expected as can be observed from the poll result above.
To get rid of this kind of negative publicity, everybody should shun this movie.
