FTII commies hope to bring Modi govt under pressure by aligning
by ashish tiwari on Aug 09, 2015 06:43 PM

with Rahul and Kejriwal but they cannot...infact they will damage their own careers.

It is not students who can decide on an institution's chairman it is the owner.. ie Govt of India that will decide. this.

Only politics and no study

If they are not interested in study but only politics they should leave the institute and spare the tax payer's money.

Tomorrow they will demand removing PM or President
by amit saxena on Aug 03, 2015 09:51 AM  | Hide replies

These students think the all illegitimate demands can be met by strike. They should go to court and fight if something wrong has happened. Why taxpayer's money is spend on these politically motivated so called students.

The govt should not pay attention to the students. When they tired of they will either get into the institution or vacate the place. These bunches are nuisance for the nation.

BIG BURDEN THESE STUDENTS: SHOULD BE DISMISSED
by Satish K on Aug 02, 2015 11:39 PM  | Hide replies

These students who are striking for no rational reason, have a expense of Rs 12 lakh per student per year which is borne by the govt, ie. taxpayer money.
They don't deserve a place in the institute when they don't respect their benefactors.
They should be thrashed black and blue and sent to their homes.

Surprising n sad that some top film guys support these guys. This is a straight forward case of indisciplined n wayward students threatening the faculty n wants to be in the selection process of chairman n faculty. Time a panel of 3 /4 officials take action those who are indulging in strike n stopping the institution. Amount spend is mind boggling by the govt n these students don't deserve!!

FTII students

As per the reports appearing in press and other media the film institute appears to be den of disruptive politics and indisciplined bunch of drug addicts.most of the students appears to be leftist leanings.
That is why they are not liking people having rightist views.as long as the congress was in power it was appointing people of students choice.
Naturally students who have cultivated a certain type of politics may not like people of the opposite ideology.
By inviting Rahul they committed a big blunder by identifying them with a particular. Party. And now it has become political.

or serving jail terms like few other filmy personalities. How are the students qualified to talk about the selction of a Director of an institution? How does a Director's political beliefs become a hurdle in moulding one's acting career? Was not there so many actors like Shivaji Ganesan, MGR, Rama Rao, Jayalalitha, Sunil Dutt and others with political affiliations? Did not award winning players like PT Usha, Sachin, have coaches who necessarily were not Bharat Ratnas or winners of other awards. By falling into the gutter of politicians the students are spoiling their own career. They should not pledge their brains ANY politician. The gems of personalities mentioned above did not attend any training institute. Unlike other skills acting is mostly self aquired and developed, does not depend on institute heads. The students should tender apology and go back to classes or quit FTII

The students who are on strike have no valid reason, Students have no right to elect their principle, if it is done with then tommorow they will demand that they will set their own papers, exams, viva, etc, mode of passing.......etc. Students should focus on their learning the skills. It is absurd that they are giving lame excuses that previous Chairman were like Girish Karnad, Shyam Benegal, etc. and Chahuan does not fit in it. Are students have become that matured and qualified to judge a person who is more experienced than them. Just becuase he had done B grade movies is silly excuse. Even low profile people have successfully lead many instituitions. Gary Kirtsen who was a low profile coach but he made a turnaround for Indian Cricket. I am just giving an example not comparing. Students are wasting National resources they should understand. The Amt is much higher which govt spend on per student of IIM and IIT. SO students should stop agitating and should focus on learning rather making dharnas.
