institutes any more. Bollywood trains its own people and there are enough private training institutes for those who can pay. So where is the need to train film crew by the govt. Better open a govt school for poor people in this campus. Or maybe an ITI. Training of movie crew is totally unwarranted in a govt institute.

Agree 1000%. Especially because each of these scu_mm_bbag students is costing us taxpayers 12 lakh in subsidy every year.

In the 6 weeks of strike, each of these students has wasted 1.5 lakh rupees of the Indian public.

He11 with these arrogant pr1cks. Why should I pay for their political drama?

Institute should be immediately closed down.

Students cannot decide who their college chief is. Govt should dismiss all striking students giving them 2 days notice and then go in for fresh admissions.

Exactly right. Students have no right who should head the institution. If the students refuse to attend their classes, they should immediately be terminated and then they can join with Rahul Gandhi.

We don't need 12 lakh subsidy per student per annum for studying film making and acting.

Let the students join a private school and pay. Why should us taxpayers subsidize them for an unessential education?

Even IIT, IIM and MBBS students don't get so much subsidy.

Instead of dismissing them, the institute itself should be permanently shut down.

Use the campus to start an ITI or college where 1000s of sincere students can build a honest career.

These spoilt brats can go to he11. I don't want to subsidize their useless acting classes.

This is the approach every govt, be it state or centre, should adopt against the unruly revolutionary minded students who always try to do everything other than study. They would demand relaxation in the merit list, they would like to be allowed without appearing in th test, they would love to get passed even if they failed to pass the exam, they will strike if they are not offered automatic selection from one stage to another, beat up teachers, VCs, Head master, Principal but not to be punished!!! What is going on? Anarchy?

Mr Anto.Do you know that for years FTII has been under control of Naxalites and Maoists. It is high time FTII is cleansed from these elements.

Why should Indian taxpayers pay 12 lakh per annum per student in subsidizing their acting classes?

Let them enrol in a private school. Close down the institute permanently and spend the 12 lakh in educating poor children so that they can have a useful career.

1. Give Chuhan a chance, if he does not perform you have right to express your grievances.

2. This is like without conducting an exam/test failing the students.

3. Striking students are spoiling future of several hundreds of students.

THere are more actors who are not from FTII and are better than FTII students. We don't need this institute at all. There are more burning problems , like pocerty,Unemployment etc. It is better that this institute be closed.

Close down the institute permanently and start a decent college or ITI institute in the campus where 1000s of deserving students can build an honest career unlike these spoilt brats.

Acting and filmmaking is not a life and death issue.
