His fan base has in fact widened recently, and more people have learnt to enjoy a typical Rajni flick. The problem is with the script. Even today, if a Basha or a sivaji kind of script is made for him, it would succeed.
please.. next time be careful, scripts should write you in mind. Shankarjee and Rehmanjee also need to take extra care from now on. Once Lata mankeshkarjee said.. "the day you stop frustrating about your work that is the end of your work"

Please don't post these types of news which not contains any truth. One who knows rajani's charisma don't write these types of rubbish article. Linga's script is very weak, although the film managed to cross 100c in just 3days. Kochadiyan is a motion capture film that's why the film bombed in the box office. Don't under estimate him.. he is the only super star in the Indian film history..
it is not that script is not written for rajini, rather he does not want to try new charaters rather he doesnot want to fail. He has to take risk and try new characters. Rather he allows only old styled directors to direct him. He can act with new directors who can give new image to him.

Our business class do not want to take the 'loss' side of the risk, they only want the profit side of the 'risk'! And the society also allows them to be so. Else, how would explain Kingfisher loss not affecting Mallya at all, and instead its the public whose money the banks have doled out, are the ones who take the pinch?!?!
It is time for Rajini and kamal to follow big B and start acting in roles that match their Age. Should venture out and take stories like Nishabd, Black etc what Big B did and what ALPacino is doing in Holly wood.

Kamal is already doing and did in the past several charaters. Even now he is trying something new everytime whether it is BO collection is there or not. He is willing to take risk whereas rajini does not want to face failures and believes only in old styled stories. It is an extended carrier for him which is pure luck
