Imagine if a 65 year old grandfather in our home swung his hips, hollering Mona...Mona...Gasolina - we would all be dying of laughter. Now imagine if he decided to swing to the same song with his arms around the neighbourhood teenage girl - we would stop laughing and look around for the nearest lunatic asylum. All of us will become old, but there is a dignity and grace in aging. Hope Rajni realises this and gives us some memorable performances in character roles, which he is well capable of, befitting his age and stature. He only has to look to his close friend, Amitabh Bachchan for inspiration in this regard.

Rajini is not dancing with young girls in real life..he is doing only in movies and ppl are very much intelligent to differeciate between real and reel life.. whereas ur amitabh is dancing with his own daughter in law touching her hips in stage in real life

this is an absolutely ridiculous argument. Why cant Rajini be himself (without make-up and computer graphics) when he dances/romances the daughter-heroines, then?
Kochadaiyaan failed because it was a cartoon movie, who wants to see Rajni in cartoon film and Lingaa did not make loss, it was all hype by media and tamilnadu political parties.
If this is the case, then Rajini can easily get his mojo back if he does a movie where he's actually playing a "character" not just himself as the superstar flying on hot air balloons. A good example of where he played a character was in his brilliant depiction of Surya in Mani Ratnam's Thalapathi. I am waiting for a director to utilize his full potential as an actor now, not just as a star.

No No he is not fit for father role also that is also lot of energy he only suit for grandpa
Rajani has done many roles in Tamil film industry. His talents are no match to the films we see now from him.His old black and white films are far better.Like Dr,Raj Kumar ,Nageswar Rao retired when they in high spirits because of age. Like wise Rajni should reire gracefull instead of acting in films like Linga.

absolutely correct. He should take now father's roll and not as a hero. His hero time is over now.
It is pity that he do not chose roles which suits him. Tamil cinema industry still believes in supernatural heroism than normal hero...I admire Kamal for his selections.
