The Lunch Box deserves five stars for its unique look at human connection, the fantastic acting, and that whimsical idea of a Bhutanese utopia:) but it isn't at all comparable to Masoom. There was nothing whimsical about Masoom, nothing left to imagination, no blanks to fill. Masoom's my favourite movie of all time because it is THE best drama I've ever seen. Lunch box has a very different appeal, no less good, but NOT Masoom.

Yes, it is a very simple movie. but you have to revisit it again & again to enjoy its every moments. And this review helps in doing this. Sometimes when you see the movie many things go unnoticed because you might be seeing one aspect whereas there may be many interpretations of the same scene. If this is the difference between commercial movies & parallel cinema then I have rediscovered the pleasure to watch & analyse such movies. It is unbelivable that from such a thin line of story the entire movie can be made & this good. The maker & the viewer has to have the same wavelength to understand what director wants to convey.

This Movie has an simple story , well directed .. But slow many times . Ending of the movie is not very clear . On the Positive side , Excellent Performance by Irfan Khan and Nawazuddin Sidque .. Overall *** if u watch in multiplex .

Everything is clear. Both have tries to see each other. Ila had come to his office but he already retired. and he also is going with dabbawalls so no chance of him not reaching her place. There is a ample scope for the sequel where they could actually meet & Ila's husbond could come up with his girlfriend. This movies is for classes not for masses.

For you it is clear .. Do not consider yourself as class .. You simply are trying to push an average movie to an class movie .. This Movie could have been made well ..
it must be mandatory to publish a brief on the reviewer. like educational qualifications, what qualifies him/her for review, how long reviews are being done etc. else there is no fun reading a review from yet another wannabe judge

After hearing all positive reviews went for it..indeed brilliant.. Uncomplicated simple,real film with great execution..I think this film deserves to be send to Oscar & not Theaseus...
