He would have been a great asset to our science if he was involved in research. He is truly the master innovator of Indian cinema. The walk in 70,s in nude,a silent movie,a dwarf, every movie is novelty in its own way.A wonderful human being who devoted his life for entertaining his fellow people.Pranams to the great soul and give him long life and health.

Already an great asset to india..whom do you want to give certificates..hypocrite media or masala actor fans..He is an genius and no other actor will fight singlehandedly like kamalhaasan on DTH issue
over 80% of his movies are copied or inspired.. even his acting lacks originality.. often apes actors from the west , with no distinct style of how own.. this where Sivaji Ganesan scores over him.. he was fully original , native and never tried to copy anyone

You must be one of those Rajini fans who blindly whistles and dances at his every step and every move.

You must be one of those kamal fans who blindly appreciates his plagiarism, irritating histrionics, pseudo-intellectual nonsense

There is difference between inspiration and copy..He will not copy scenes..yes there are few inspired movies like all the movies in india and also hollywood. There are few remake movie as well but thats all informed before making itslef..there are so many hollywood movies inspired from indian movies but neither they will admit nor indians are not ready to poke nose in hollywood movies but very well do that in indian movies..crazy people Avatar -> inspired from vietnam colony(malayalam) who am i and The Bourne Identity(movie 2003) ->inspired from kamalhassan 'Vetri vizha'(1986) which is based on bourne identity novel released in 1980..see how advance he is.. Kamalhassan Sigappu Rojakkal was remade in Japanese as Red Roses, in Korean as Bloody Roses, in Persian as Gul Surkh, in Russian as Krasnyye Rozy and in Thai as Kulab Daeng. Kamal Haasan's film 'Abhay' inspired a sequence in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill.. There are so many movies inspired from indian movies and also kamal movies but you guys wont mention that..crazy fellows..

@blue wrox -if you like only mahanadhi then keep it with you and dont try to influence your point on others..After mahanadhi he acted Hindustani(Indian),Chachi420(avvai shanmugi) which is a BB and liked by most of indians..comedy movies like 'kaadhala kaadhala',panchathanthiram, thenali were superhits and favourite for many moviebuffs..'Virumandi' is my favourite and favourite for all die-hard kamal fans..10A,Vettaiyaadu viliyaadu favourite for non-kamal fans.Heyram movie favourite for critics.

ohh how i missed anbe sivam..next favourite movie after virumaandi..hope vishwaroopam will top
Just eight days more for Vishwaroopam to release. Already 500 theatres in TN have planned to show the movie and day by day the count is increasing. Lets expect the movie to rock the box office all over India, and I hope the people of this country would prefer watching Vishwaroopam and ignore over hyped masalas like Race 2
There aren't any words to describe what kind of human being Kamal Sir is. He is the epitome of a great artist. The fact that he continues to innovate, create, and wants to give his audience something new every time, inspires actors like us -- that you can't just keep doing the same thing that you feel comfortable with. And he believes in unlearning everything and starting afresh.
rediff and several other national sites and media have been criticizing and pulling down Kamals achievements and box office power all these days. they conveniently ignored his hits and major successes but never fail to highlight his flops. after a long time i see something in praise of the legend.

Vijay is good but has not proved his acting talents fully yet. Let him do more movies and characters that have a good scope for acting like Thullaadha Manamum Thullum
