amazing how he composed that song back in the mid 60's in the Indian scene. This songs sounds like a psychedelic song and am showed he is a daring and innovative composer.

Nonsense!

He was a very good plagiarist!

He was careful to not copy from popular sources!

He usually copied from South American musicians who were largely unknown!

His signature percussion sounds were extremely annoying!

It is an unbelievable list. The writer has not heard the maestro well. The songs are good undoubtedly, but to call them the best 30 is doing gross injustice to the music director and his listeners.

This is the song from his last movie 1942 a love story.
His last days were quite not happy. Rahul da had many setbacks apart from deteriorating health. The song in a way represents the his own status at that time.
Only the silver lining in the dark cloud was- he got the last filmfare award for this movie after death.
This song is a tribute to him hence
