it is very much expected that vishwaroop wont run in hindi becoz of the movie dosent have item songs, half naked heroines and shirtless heros dancing in rain... for bollywood jism2, race2 are the best movies

Well said, bollywood fans can continue to watch mind numbing Sallu and Katrina movies, and switch to hysterical SRK when bored of Sallu.... Not that I am a fan of Kamal as director, but I would atleast credit him for trying to do something different.
Rediff, what happened to you? Everywhere all trade analysts have reported that Vishwaroop has collected more than Robot and the collections are improving. But your news is so silly. David is Average and Vishwaroopam is below average? Come on , everybody knows David is a disaster. Please please dont misguide people with such false news.

Vishwaroop has made about 8 crores now in 4 days. Expected to reach 20-25 crores in the long run. Satellite rights will add another 7-8. So just like Robot it will reach or cross 40 crores in Hindi. But Robot was twice as expensive as Vishwaroopam (165 crore). So we can easily say that Vishwaroopam is the biggest hit for any South Star in Hindi. This has been confirmed by Girish Johar, Balaji Films, distributor of Vishwaroopam in the north.
The reason Kamal hassan did Vishwaroopam is to show the taliban as bad and the Americans as good to please them in real life so that they fetch him an oscar or atleast nominate him/his film. Rahman already has one

Did you even listen to the songs? The film is not pro-american. There are lyrics in a songs that the dollar world does not have equal justice.
I had a chance to see Viswaroop in a hall in Odisha . The producer is extremely lucky that the film raised such a hue and cry or else it could have bombed at the boxoffice on day one .The Kamalahassn starrer is not for the masses , and very few elite would like to go for the film a second time .The film is not at all anti Muslim , though based on Taliban charcters . A few Muslim who were in the hall with me expressed that Viswroopam did not show anything against the Muslims .They were also puzzled why a few clergies were against the film .Though Kamala Hassan is briliant as usual ,the picutre is very slow paced and lacks the instinct of being a pro viewer . The script is good and so is the acting , but such movies fail to impress the audience . One expects that the next Viswaroopam 2 would be better paced for the audience who feel that spending so much time to watch slow movies is a waste of time . The film fails to promote the Kamala Hassan stamp assoictaed with his movies lile Indian etc

The protesters were PAID agents of Jaya. They were politically motivated to check mate DTH operators who are mostly aligned with AIADMK.
A conflict within Kamal to make a pure western kind of movie- 90 minutes in all and the movie is over by interval. the Second half is to satisfy the South Indian Taste for movies.........lengthy narrations and explanations to 'help' audience...............( assuming they are dumb? )............. In the end a hash....................Kamal forget about satisfying South Indian Film buffs..............follow your path............but then who will pay for all that you spent?

very well said... anyways komal fanatics wouldnt change,,, this guy is past his shelf life and living beyond his sell-by-date and throws all rubbish... he could well have done a documentary to please the Americans and they would have still given him an award for the best short film if ever he wanted an award from the so-called Intelligent US/westerners... the problem is this guy wouldnot realise that he is past his prime and nobody reiterate noone wants to make a movie with him thats why he is making his own fil(m)ths.

how can u say rajini dosent know acting ?? rajini acts for the mass and kamal acts for himself.. go watch mullum malarum,6 irundhu 60 varai,netrikan ...there are some movies like 16 vayathiniey, avargal where kamal and rajini acted together..in which rajni's acting was very much appreciated than kamal's acting those movies
