The collections of Kamal Haasan-starrer Vishwaroopam keep the cash registers ringing despite new releases in overseas market. Trade analysts say that Vishwaroopam's Tamil version has done a superb business in USA and UK after the second weekend as the film raked around £ 222,693 (Rs 1.86 cr) in UK and $ 916,754 (Rs 4.89 cr) in USA.
Back home, Vishwaroopam's Hindi version has picked up well as the film has registered impressive collections of around around Rs 7.65 cr over the weekend. Meanwhile actor Kamal Haasan has announced that Vishwaroopam will finally release across Tamil Nadu on February 7.
Vishwaroopam 1st day collection 1.89 crore(1st week end 7.75cr) and david 1st day collection 74 lakhs(1st weekend 2.5cr) but rediff mentioned Vishwaroopam has got a below average opening and david with average opening..what to say about these idiots..Vishwaroopam 7.75 Cr in hindi is highest by south indian star beating rajnikanth robot..for tamil stars TN is the 1st big market,followed by andhra and overseas..Vishwaroopam in telugu collected 30Cr so far,KL and KA-> 12 cr so far.UK,US and canada ->15cr so far. Hindi it will end up to 15cr by this week-end which is a bonus and a hit if not superhit/BB for south indian actors.can anyone tell me any hindi actor dubbed movies or hindi version collected more than 4 cr in TN.ra-one after so much hype not even crossed 2 cr in TN..understand the trade nuances rediff idiots.. Mark my word "In TN the first 4 days collections for Vishwaroopam will not be less than 33cr".

what has got rating and stars got to do with collections... kaomal fanatics are desperatly trying to project this movie as super and all as it is a bakwass movie... no story./... nobody talks about story.... it looks like documentary... he could made a short film and appeased the short film goers or better a documentatry

Robot was also reported as average grosser in Hindi and North belt... so donot try hard to make it a Hit movie which it would not sorry better luck next time
Vishwaroop has made about 8 crores now in 4 days. Expected to reach 20-25 crores in the long run. Satellite rights will add another 7-8. So just like Robot it will reach or cross 40 crores in Hindi. But Robot was twice as expensive as Vishwaroopam (165 crore). So we can easily say that Vishwaroopam is the biggest hit for any South Star in Hindi. This has been confirmed by Girish Johar, Balaji Films, distributor of Vishwaroopam in the north.

this also is wrong news... no film can come closer to Robot in Hindi from south that too a dubbed version... dont use things or information according to your south Indian conveniences and whims.....

But, I also did read somewhere else that Vishwaroop raked in more than Robot the opening weekend in the North.
