Even ddlj price of tickets was lower then also when 3 idiots is compaired to it ddlj wins... so in coming days money won't matter as ticket prices will increase, also number of screens will increase, and in foreign countries also more people will watch Bollywood movies so these records are useless , the thing that matters is the film is good or bad and nothing else matters
The discussion is simply uncalled for.The fact is Chennai Express has made lot of money more than anybody expected.It is also true that Chennai Express is no where close to so called masterpiece -3Idiots. Chennai Express record is likely to be broken by Krish3 which is expected to release during Diwali week.
This is what we call great MARKETING.. and SRK surely knows how to do it. Chennai Express which undoubtly will cross 3 Idiots collection, is a piece of shiit... and yes this is purely due to marketing tactics (releasing CE at all Single theatres) adopted by filmmakesrs
do not compare and try to give cheap publicity to movies.....in their respective times this movies are all time hit....like sholay/don/3 idiots.....even if remakes make good money at box office you can not say this movie is better than that...like don of shah rukh khan can not be compared to the great don of amitabh . same way the 3 idiots has a wealth in the script but chenai express has nothing in it, it's a mere entertainer....now is the time of action movies started with salman & rohit , so ce could do well because of rohit shetty...he has a following of hit movies....so rohit's fan following along with srk's fan following has clicked the magic...that it, what more.

sir even TITANIC was not famous but all of a sudden got 11 Oscar awards and people were crazy for ship I watched 25 times
Kindly send CE to OSCAR,World will be thrilled after watching CE,first thing pops in there mind ,how come Hollywood cant make movies like CE.GO CE GO,after becoming highest grosser next halt should be OSCAR nothing less than that.
CE can be the biggest blockbuster,how come great movie like CE ,grt director like Shetty and actress like Deepika Fuddu Kone hai,S R& K remain unnoticed at world level

Oscar is not for documentaries sir srk is such a boar guy that we sleep peacefully in his movies like mohabatein but we watched 3 times to keep spouce happy during expectancy
3 idiots was atleast 10 times better than CE. These Khans and producers are very clever. Even though CE is just a masala film no other good film was released for the next 3 weeks except Akshay's film which is always expected to bomb. So if you like it or not one has to watch CE during the festive season. May be 3500 prints against 1800 must have added to the collection. When you do a ordinary film like CE and become the biggest grosser it give out wrong signal. Beacuse when SRK release his next movie and even if its a better one it may not collect as this much if there is stiff competetion.We will wait and see what Dhoom 3 and Krish does at the Box office. But one thing is for sure even if CE tickets are given for free or it shown on TV I am not the one to see that again. BOKWAS :)
