nobody is comparing these two movies regarding their genres, all is being compared is BO figures,according to which u can't say those who liked 3 idiots can't be interested in chennai express..that's it..they're not copareable in a sense that they have different aims, so those who call one brilliant and the other trash while stating they're not compareable are also comparing the movies in an awful taste..CE is a good entertainer while 3 idiots is a nice social..hard work has been put in both while both have flaws in their own sense..stop comparing and insulting both movies..
It hardly matter 70 % of the trade analyst are having the view that the record has been broken already and it has earned 216 crore..
But according to Mohan it is 1 crore short, that will be covered and crossed by good margin this weekend only.. So by every means its going to break the record...
Another thing that the Screen size matters for the grand opening but CE has sustained well and showed jumps in the mid way indicates its likings by the public.... Dont forget that 3 Idiots was played alone for 3 weeks.. and CE started facing challenges after 6 days only... Full credit to the team of CE FOR MAKING SUCH A WONDERFULL MOVIE..
Well!!!! 3 idiots is a milestone in indian cinema.. thats what we can say in a single word about the movie... on the other hand chennai express ..... is a trash in indian cinema... so comparing 3 idiots with chennai express is absolute nonsense....

Chennai Express is an insult to any intelligence. It can be compared with RGV ki Aag, Houseful 2 or Himmatwala but not with 3 Idioots

Its a shame that a nonsense movie like CE broke the record 3 idiots.but I still think 3 idiots remains the best movie of all time cause these ÃE buggers triple the ticket prices. God save hindi cinema.

Agreed 3 idiots is a gem of a movie CE is only for brainless chaps who just want to laugh on any nonsense
Most of us go to movie to relax and CE has fulfilled to meet this objective.
We praise english movies which also lack social messages like TITANIC etc. Shah Rukh Khan has come from ranks - Tele serials and is down to earth. When this film grossed so much, definitely many lakhs must have watched it and enjoyed. That way you are insulting so many lakhs of viewers across the world. You can express your opinion but do not criticise others taste and try to respect others' views also whether they are acceptable to you or not.

who says hollywood films lack message, Titanic was a tragedy, and it depicts how that incident happened with some friction. But the point is chennai express and 3 idiots while chennai express is a pot boiler and 3 idiots is about the emotion and true issue which still exists in the society. How education system is and how students are in pressure. It shows how to fight, as at the end of the movie it is said do not run after success, if you run after excellence success will by default follow you. so what message chennai express gives you?

Hakla should be an ideal Actor for any Horror Film and producer can save a lot of cost on make due to his natural Demonic Skelton looking Face. BTW it should be a matter of study how people could bear him for three good Hours and came alive.
chennai express faltu film. it looked so funny in the film when sharukh is carrying deepika where as for promotion his hands were plasterd and now days health wise he is so fragile. sharukh and chennai team were so low on confidence of success of the film that they had to take political help to delay release of marathi film.
While Chennai Express is only a masala and timepass movie 3 Idiots was a class apart. You could watch it several times and still crave for more. CE cannot be compared to 3 Idiots in any way, its not a good movie while 3 Idiots was a brilliant film!
