If all this factors are to be considered in Sanjay's case then similar factors must be considered in all other cases as well. There are thousands rotting in jails and all their cases should be reviewed taking into consideration all these aspects of their lives. Are our lawmakers and judges fools ? A trial goes on for years and the case is reviewed by eminent judges in different courts and a final verdict comes, so just accept it. Law is not a static thing, it can change and if such contexts are to be considered then first make amendments to the law to consider them. Once there is a law in force then it must be applied to all. Just because someone is a filmstar, just because someone is a filmstars son, just because someone is considered good by a few filmstars, just because someone playes gandhi in a film - what nonsense is this? Go and change the law and make a new overriding law that if some 10 filmstars and politicians want someone they like to be freed of all crimes then he must be freed. First make the law and then apply it to whoever is eligible. This fellow is a repeat offender, he first went to jail for 5 months in a drug case, then in arms case, what next?
when he will become wise? at 80? 90? one fellow says he was a kid, truth is that he had a kid. There should be one law that whoever speaks in favor of a convict should also undergo same punishment or if he wants the criminal to be free then he should undergo double punishment.

I don't understand

I just don't understand these articles. Don't you think every criminal has a story like this or even worse than this. Infact many come from poor imporvished broken families , and take to crime for feeding their family . This guy had everything going for him and he chose to go with criminals .

Why all these articles trying to find reasons? He is extremely lucky to get away so easily. Only political connections saved him from TADA.

Let us STOP these pro-Sanjay Dutt articles, and instead, at least bring out five articles each day on the living conditions of the next of kin of those killed in the serial blasts. Are they even able to have a square meal a day ???

Yes. Let Sanjay complete the short jail term and come back having honoured our Supreme Court. He is really lucky to get away with a short jail term.

Sanjay hired the most intelligent ,shrewd, and efficient and the costliest Legal counsel of the country however still Based on the evidences, seriousness of the offence, Sanjay was awarded a minimum sentence prescribed by the law as per the detailed judgements of 147 pages of the Supreme Court. He should accept the court verdict gracefully and go through the sentence like others who cant even afford to hire a good counsel for them and going to suffer for more time than Sanjay

Let them print pro Sanjay article. The number of people who are in favour for pardon for Sanjay will be outnumbered by lacs of people who think that law is equal for all and those who commit offence has to prepare himself for the punishment.
