So called music of the 80s
by alan fernandes on Nov 27, 2013 04:21 PM  | Hide replies

He has the audacity to say that he has given 'super hit' music in the 80s. It is a well known fact that the standard of films and film music was at an all time low in the 80s, and it was majorly due to music directors like Bappi Lahiri, who majorly contributed to the downfall of melody favoring silly sounding beats. He has also composed some pleasant songs but mostly inthe 70s, and that was it.

unfortunately people remember the bottomline only and the bottomline says that he had maximum number of hits and with all that 'trash' produced by him, he has survived 40 years in the industry. likewise foolish movies like dabang, wanted, singham, rowdy rathore will also be in the Bollywood archive as they've been superhits!

Please accept that ur songs were really bad. Some hits here and there will not make u great. U can point out to the hit songs but there are thousands which were absolute gutters. U were blot to film music. Kishore da left singing because of that u were offering him. 80's were nightmare decade of Hindi music. I know because I am from that generation and would always listen to60/70's songs. 90's were much better and today it is even better. Please do not boast so much because u did more damage to hindi film music rather then contributing it.

Copy Lahiri

All copyrights of copying are rested with him. If you want to copy anything, you have to first seek permission from him to do so. He will then approve the copy (after providing him an astronomical fee, of course) for further action by you. Why? It's he who's been the inspiration for coining that axiom (which has been proudly displayed on his website) -

THE COPYRIGHT, TO COPY RIGHT.
