strange piece of article...

We have really enjoyed some of your songs, copied, not copied. the contents of this interview is pretty bizzare, the no of times Bappi has mentioned, about his father, makes it very clear, his whole existence, was a 'laagwag' and connection based success.
The disco episode, the samadhi contents, michael jackson phrases(imagine what else he could hae said after meeting you??)

even though it was an interesting piece of reading, a bit foolish though, the way he goes on and on about his achievements leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.
Also respect to elders, and modesty regarding one's work goes hand in hand.
Also the 100 crore movie bit, well check again, you will come to know your mistake.
Now we know, even though after being in the industry for forty years, he was not much of a journalism target, and amen to that.

I agree he had support of his parents. But do you think only this can make any one successful even if one is not talanted. Baapi has talent and since he has support he got succes little early. There are many star sons/ daughters tried their luck but failed. Like Kumar Gurav, Manoj Kumar and Sashi Kapoor's sons, Hama Malini's daughter, list is countless.

This guy should have some modesty...

Great achivers are modest people.. this guy is talking as if he's invented the music industry.. his songs were just a fad for a particular era.. they were not classics.. and neither did they change the history of music..

This man was really talented. He had defined the entire 80s era. The mushy phase of music was back in 90s and this guy lost out to that. But he is truely a legend and his songs were masterpieces.

Hey Jaguar - Do you sing Ooh La La... or listen to it being played around? The very beat of it is so invigorating that you cannot help tapping your feet if not shake your body. Which of Bappi's so-called contemporary's of 2010 onwards have given such a hit music. This song is as iconic as the famous dialogue where Vidya Balan says that the films (in India) run only because of "Entertainment, Entertainment, Entertainment". Music in Bollywood has totally a different dimension because it basically goes with the flow of the movie. To excel in such a scenario and produce something extraordinary which is liked and played by all (around the world) is simply amazing. Go to Africa and Middle East to see how people love Bollywood more than American/English music. Dubai's famous fountain dance show plays Bollywood and is liked by foreigners alike.
I dont even come close to any of the music composers so I always praise them. May be you have a better knowledge of effort required to produce a good musical score which may be the reason not to respect a musician who has been around for 30 years and still giving hits.
Excuse me for taking this liberty but if someone is taking credit for his work, I believe, he does only because he can. Not many in this world have joined the music industry at the age of 19 and are still around as a lead music composer.

Thanks.
