Please appreciate what Amir is doing ..Dont judge
by Mahesh kanyal on May 09, 2012 12:46 AM

The show surly was more on emotional quotient, but then amir just wanted to bring the issue to common mass..he was nto probing the case hwo the husband acted or how the mother in law acted..what he want to tell the mass was that there are these issues in the society and that it can not be eradicated by police action only..we the people of India need wake up and accept girl child as happily as we do for the boys...and then this problem will automatically eradicated...he was not judging the husbands and mother in laws...if they are at fault ..then let the police take the action against them ....I want to suggest the writer of this article to stop judging and start appreciating what Amir has done..otherwise he could also have made some high drama serial and earned crore of rupees..without any social cause..he is doing good for the country..so please appreciate..your article is not helpful in that....

Unfounded criticism

Its true that the emotional content of the show was fairly high, which as we all know is a weak point of the Indian audience. Nonetheless, the USP of the show was that Aamir, in layman language, was able to highlight the economic and social fallouts of female infanticide. Numerous attempts have been made to raise such issues, in the form of talk shows by various celebrities. But none of them could focus on those linkages or should i say bothered to focus on those points. Aamir managed to weave a story with emotions and fact based research to show the linkage between increasing crimes on women and high prevalence of female infanticide.

On the other hand, I fail to understand why people need to comment on renumeration and the money involved in it. For God's sake, he is atleast putting in the effort of raising issues instead of hosting mindless game shows. Most of us bother to listen to him when he speaks and lets be thankful that he is using that to make people aware.

It would be interesting to see if he would host a show with people stuck in bad marriges, men or women, with years in litigation. He himself came out of one unscathed. He can help a lot of people by sharing his experience.

Satyameva Jaythe's first episode is like any other show on telivision. The subject shown in the episode is not unknown for the average Indian janatha as it was written and re written in english, hindi and many other regional languages since decades and yet there was not much changes since. So that this will also fall in to oblivion in the Indian minds after the show of three months get over. And of course Aamir khan does not seem to be doing a revolution or favour for the society considering the hefty remuneration he takes home after every episode and the artificial emotions he carries through out the show. Hence the hype and hoopla about the show is irrelevant. Its like any other scripted hero centric film with ample emotions and the channels new strategy to laugh all the way to bank with another gimmick.

Of course if he proves that his intentions were true and it really makes a changes in our out dated mis construed Indian cultural sacrification in the coming episodes I will be one the first ones to support and recommend Aamir for a Bharat ratna.

Were not we witnessed some thing like this by Burkha Dutt on NDTV long before?
If that is not enough there is a running show on a malayalam channel titled ;KATHAYALLITHU JEEVITHAM (It's life not a story)with the same concept and objective. So Mr.khan better do a research.

true by every word. I watch the said malayalam program and now watched amir khan's and what I felt is content is one and same only the frame and anchor is different. So show is not new to the television industry. As for Burkha Dutt, Aamir's voice might have more charm than any other professional anchor. We all can pray that the effort of this actor should not be another farce.
