What is that you are trying to say. The show was not good blah blah.... how many articles you have written in your whole life which actually meant something..and is not some review trying to prove that you are different. I have only one thing to say... stop being a complaining loser.... and write something meaningful first and then we can do some intellectual comparison about two things...

Criticism makes a person perfect,
And there is positive criticism, If u dis-agree with anything in this article then one can argue on that...
If u have seen "JIndagi Live" then u can feel there was not a Bit new on this show, but hats off to Amir to present it on a national television instead of News channel which have a limited audience as compared to National entertainment channels.

Constructive criticism is good Sunny. I agree. It is what we as readers always do. But what gets me mad, is people who write columns, these armchair critics who are nothing but pathetic losers with superior then thou attitude. Does this statement "Those who hardly read newspapers or who are ill-informed about such issues must have cried at the mother narrating her story to Aamir Khan in the television studio" by the author not say it all.

even the stuff written above \\\"aamir khan\\\'s satyamev jayate played its safe\\\" seems 2 b an essay picking out just the faults.obviously the topic presented by the show was quite a common one but it made people to discuss and surf about it. yes the reason for its popularity is none other than aamir khan\\\'s image. but its still better than other shows presenting the same topic by other hosts. audiences all the over the world love watching things which are interesting unlike which are just informing about an issue.the UGP of every indian show is a supestar\\\'s image no doubt. and as mentioned about the fake expressions of aamir... No host in this universe can actually feel the pain of a victim. everyone put ons a fake image. thats what is television!!

Aamir needs to deal with
by deepak on May 08, 2012 09:31 PM  | Hide replies

Aamir needs to deal with Islam, the biggest threat to human sanity and peace. Living next door to a murderous neighbor with dozens of terror organizations waiting for a chance to behead you is the biggest problem.

Aamir needs to deal with barbarous divinely sanctioned practises of beheadings, chopping hands, imposing jizya, blowing up buildings - things that threaten human civilization.

social work is not for money
by unni radhakrishnan nair on May 08, 2012 09:26 PM  | Hide replies

can aamir work in this programme without any remuneration, he is supposedly getting 3 cr per episode. if it is for the benefit of the society then he should work free of cost, thats real social work. there are many who inspite of their qualification and cushy jobs have left all that and working in the grime and dust of indian villages and towns for the upliftment of the society. can aamir do that without any remuneration?

Aamir Khan is a professional and acting is his profession, he shud ofcourse charge for his services. What is different and applaudable here is that he is using his image and star power for a good cause. He cud have done a Navratan Oil or Lux soap or some Zor ka jhatka, panchwii pass or cookery show with his time, he chose to do Satyamev Jayate ( I am yet to see the program by the way). As for charity, all professionals shud be doing that, hope Aamir is doing in his own way (as we do)!

why the Fuzz??
by vinny george on May 08, 2012 09:24 PM  | Hide replies

i don't know why we are creating such fuzz about the show. Mr Aamir Khan is just trying bring the focus on issues which common man is afraid to talk. i think instead of discussing about who is running the show and his credibility, let take some good out of the show. lets not be like 99% who look and judge things but let us be that one person who thinks he can bring change. if Aamir couldnt then you should. Take it as a challenge and dont be a critic.

Let's appreciate Aamir
by Harsh Singh on May 08, 2012 09:10 PM

There are many other Stars who are doing nothing. Aamir is using his star power to make people view such a show. I agree there have been many shows like this which come and go. But there is nothing wrong if someone uses his/her popularity to atleast talk/think about these issues so that people listen and show interest. Imagine if more celebs from different fields join such campaigns.... it will be hard hitting for masses. No one can change anything alone.. but someone has to start...something atleast.

Appreciate Aamir and his show
by Nikhil Vasudevan on May 08, 2012 08:18 PM  | Hide replies

You're right in saying that this show may not be able to bring a drastic change in the society. But Aamir has already stated that he cannot do so simply by a show. His aim is to spread awareness about the issues and try to change the mindset of the people through this medium, and he need to be applauded for that. Of course it is commercial and corporate sponsored, so are news channels. So let's not be cynical about this and appreciate him for being brave enough to do something that no other superstar has done before.

Answes for the comments below
Co-terminus with the whole Satyameva Jayate opening and the high level of angst from a vast number of people in the "news" industry (who I suspect are kind of upset that along comes this gent from the entertainment industry and pulls the carpet out from under their feet) is the announcement that Aamir Khan has terminated all the endorsements he has pending AND won't be doing any commercial endorsements anymore either. AND that some of the next episodes will be covering products which were endorsed too, as well as their effects.'

This is where we lag. You are simply sitting and making comments why you have not come forward and raised this issue when Amir is doing then you have problem why don't you guys face athe truth. He says we have only we audience can change nobody else. He also showed the example where now the ratio is 1000-1000 in just five yesr how they changed.
