what does 3 idiots show in the brith scene using a vacuumn pump to prove engineering skillls , its better to use the old age traditional birth techniques and medicines which were followed from kings period by our people no need of these comedy skills literally wanna change a system instaead of funding the research laboratory faciliites in engineering colleges where its not there. already our existing system and facilities have produced the greats like abdul kalam , atomic scientist chidambaram and swaminathan. better the producer could have spend those money on research lab facilities in collges instead of taking nanban.

You better shut your mouth. You don't know how filthy our education system. Even Abdul Kalam is also against this system.
The movie runs for more than three hours but it doesnt bore you at any point of time barring a song in the second half. He Shankar has maintained the momentum right from the beginning. He has executed the scenes well. Some of the scenes portraying the changes in the lives of Jiiva and Srikath are moving. So is the case with the child birth scene. He has given almost equal importance to all the heaqvi weights includingSathyaraj, Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth, and Ileana. He has made all characters memorable.

the movie is scene to scene remake from 3 idiots and clearly doesnt score favorobly against the hindi movie, vijay doesnt actually pull it off aa neatly as aamir does in the original but then theres only one aamir khan!

raja, 3 idiots is a much better movie. Because u r a fan of Vijay, the Nanban is not a better movie.
nanban talks on changing a system which is already doing well and its the joke of the year 2012 . nanban producers could have spent those 60 crores in building the physical research lab infrastructure needed in those engineering colleges where its empty would have been better. nanban team should realize the greats produced till now like abdul kalam and swaminathan studied in mit chennai and tnau coimbatore. so please stop lecturing people on some valueless concepts.

india is over populates it lacks infrastructure nottalent . so please dont talk bad on eductaion system and this mokkai vijay is not fit for acting at all
we all have accept the fact tht vijay did a very good job....i am not saying tht he s better than aamir....but who wld hav suited this role more than vj in tamil??....he simply rocked.....the mvoie is a worht watch....and only some of them will try to degrade the film....even if thy have not watched it?
frame to frame remake plus usual sankar style choreography and art work in songs jiva srikant and satyan perform well compared to the Hindi film. vijay has nothing to do ....has to learn more on subtle acting. kosaksi pasapugazh.... is this a tamil name ? if fungshug wangado sounded more north eastern sankar could have gone for a more doensouth name s like sthanumalayan, dhanushkoti, samuthiram etc rather than using kosaksi......an unheard tamil name. For those who have not watched 3 idiots this is a good tamil film. for those who have watched it it is not a bad remake and not a good remake too.
I watched 3 idiots as well, & loved it... But watching our local boys playing those characters in Tamil had a huge impact on me personally... In 3 idiots, it was just a movie with a perspective on education system, but in Nanban.. I saw my own life as well as my close friend's... we both fit the characters played by Jeeva and SriKanth... I guess, familiarity such as well known faces, and language makes a huge difference. I'm not a big fan of remakes, but such films shouldn't be missed. My mum who couldn't understand Hindi, or read english subtitles, enjoyed watching Nanban.
