Sanchari, as far as superhero movies go, I think one reason why you cannot appreciate good superhero movies is because you have been 'forgetting your brains', as you have mentioned in your article, which is exactly what you 'do not' do while watching any movie. You need your brains to separate a good movie (Hulk) from a bad one (Ra.one). A 'good' superhero/fantasy movie has the power to imbibe you in its world, to an extent that you are convinced that everything is actually flowing 'logically'. Actually, Sachari, the key word here is 'conviction'. Hulk, Spiderman, Ironman, Star Wars and many more, have had the power of conviction that convinces you that what is happening on screen could be real, or at least it feels real on screen. There is a reason why Hollywood movies are a benchmark, even for movies like Ra.One.

I completely agree with u, dude. There is no second thought on that, Ra.one is the worst superhero movie ever made.
Let me make it clear at the onset that I have no issues with anyone's personal likes and dislikes. So long as Sanchari continues to profess her love for Shakti Kapoor or Shah Rukh Khan and their mediocre theatrics to her friends/boyfriend and family, there are no issues. But the moment she decides to 'shut' those up who didn't like the movie/actor (read me) on a platform like rediff, which I take seriously, I take offense. The first thing that Sanchari needs to do is to be honest and ask herself, what do I mean by a 'good' movie? If you believe having the following: "superlative special effects, a stunning leading lady, several jaw-dropping action sequences, some genuinely quirky moments and a chillingly sinister villain.", can make a movie good, all movie makers will start having these in their movies. A movie can have all these and more and can still be a no-starter.

Then what is a good movie according to your view? That is what we are expecting from a Super Hero movie or a Sci-fi movie. Till present the best special effects movie of Hollywood is Avatar (no doubt). But if you have read the reviews of it, it only states that the story of Avatar was not any different. It was predictable but the effects were mind boggling. See this is what every body expects. And as far as RA.One is concerned, im not a SRK fan but yet I found the Movie very entertaing. I agree wid Sanchari-"superlative special effects, a stunning leading lady, several jaw-dropping action sequences, some genuinely quirky moments and a chillingly sinister villain.
