Yes its a Remake, that too an official remake and the original writer has been credited accordingly in the film. The Screenplay is heavily modified for this tamil version.
It's better for a director to accept that his film is officially a remake film than, to copy hollywood films and say that they're their own creation which came out after squeezing their minds vigorously..
We cannot comapre Surya & Vijay. Vijay only plays safe games. Very rarely he did different moves like "Friends, Kavalan, Kannukkul Nilavu..etc. But Surya always tried for brave experiments like Ghajini, Perazhagan, Nandha, 7aam Arivu..etc and succeeded in most of it. As an actor Surya is far far better than Vijay. Vijay is a mass hero.
if 7am arivu is not good thats not mean that velayutham is super...... really Velayutham is very very bore...........2nd half is unbeatable vijay's old same super hero formula... Guys dont waste your money to go and watch in theatre
