Is it right???

I admire the talent of Salim kumar.Without belittling his achievement I would like to know something.
This movie is yet to be released. No common man has seen this. The Jury doesnt have a single mallu. You mean to say that those so called critics can judge for the whole film fans.
Without knowing the language ,culture, etc how can you judge all these Indian movies of various languages Its like a competition between hindustani and carnatic of between bharatnatyam, kuchipudi & Manipuri. No matter what people may say about apreciating art forms I fail to understand!!!!

Art movies are generally not hit movies, but it is a form of story telling, but it doesn't mean only art movies are good, some are over the above, just like bad commercial movies.

acting couldnt be measured in the scale of language,in the verstality of culture, basically human beings have same exspression in spite of versatality

Language of Cinema is universal and now-a-days english sub-titles are also included..

I am not malayali, but now I miss the movies of Adoor Gopalakrishnan and Aravindan.

Mathilukaal,Bharatham,Kamaladalam are some of my favourite malayalam movies...

Same way I admire movies made by Satyajit Ray,Shyam Benegal,Jahnu Barua,Girish Karnard,etc..

Cinema is a medium for understanding different cultures.... Only thing necessary is make it seriously.... Anyone watching with interest can understand the any language and culture... Even it is from Paraguay or Turkey or malayalam...

Dear Rakesh..your question itself has the answer! If non Malaylee jury was impressed by the movie, then it is the ability of the actors which made it different from other movies. I look at it as a very honest judgment by the jury. End of the day, it is the acting ability which needs to be recognized.A Mallu jury, probably, would have ignored him as he is better known as a comedian.

Congratulations Salim, after making us laugh to our hearts content with you comic timings, its truly heartening to see you win the most prestigious award for acting. I hope malayalam cinema ressurcts. Guys don't blame mammooty and mohanlal, cuz they are mere actors, if there is no good script they can't do anything, and their is no question on their acting abilities. Hope new directors come and rescue malayalam cinema.

To find such wonderful talents in future, "remove bureaucracy, bring in technocracy".
country shuld base its administration by Technocrats and not bureaucrats.
