►►►▬▬▬Amir Khan is in the hindi film industry , still doesn't know its history. .. pathetic!
आलमआरा [ en(dot)wikipedia(dot)org/wiki/Alam_Ara ] released in 1931 was the first film to use sync sound in India a.k.a bollywood and it went on until 1960. Since 1960 dubbing was the norm and never reversed until Lagaan hit the screen.
Mela and Mann were surely a flop films. Financialy they may have covered the cost but peoples verdict termed both as flop & rubbish.Mela was real nightmare to watch.Though i am big fan of Aamir, but it doesn't mean all he says is correct.Even Lagaan was boring to watch & too predictable. On the contrary, GADAR was released on the same day of Lagaan with much less publicity.(most people came to know after release about a film named GADAR).And the collections of Gadar were much more than Lagaan. Even today i like to see Gadar. But no one from productions , directors or casts went on saying everytime that they made records etc. But Aamir is always busy making publicity.

Agreed, AAmir too had long list of avg/flops, like Mela, Mann, fanaa, peepli live, TZP, tum mere ho, love love love, daulat ki jung, baazi, deewana mujhsa nahi, and so on. 3 idiots, and Gajani made him big star, but not bigger than Salman and SRK.
Lagan is a typical Indian film. There was nothing exciting about the film as every one knows what will happen in the end. The movie was full of improbabilities and far from reality. Only good thing was the music, lyrics & photography. But caught the imagination of Indians who relish the thought of defeating Goras in their own game and the movie was scripted to go in that direction.

Dude take a break.....its one of the best films ever........a movie that came 10 years back and considering the skpetics and challenges those days, its an even better film
Great Job Aamir. although im not a big fan of Lagan type movies, i would still form a minority coz my entire family loves it. theres something granduer about about the way Ashutosh works too, evident in Jodha Akbar.
however, Taare Zameen par was magical.. being a malalayi and being brought on reaslitic themes malayalam moveies offered, i must say it was about time..
not to move away from the topic but.. aamir is going towards becoming an individual with an immense grasp of communicating string empotions thru movies.. i would've loved ot see shah rukh play the role of aamir in TZP...coz shar rukh relates to middle class in a way very few actors can (swades, chak de plus loads of other mvoies).. i hope one day aamir creates an epic, another mother india.
