Please do not watch this movie. It does not have story, no direction, Amir is totally wasted. It will be waste of money and important your time. I guess Guzarish was much much better than this movie. Amir please dont work in such kind movie as we go and watch movies because of you...
Guys please dont watch this movie...It does not have any story. Don't watch movie if anybody saying its nice movie as people always try to appreciate movie so that they want highlight themselved. But we see movie with our money so dont waste a single on this pathetic movie. This worst movie Amir khan ever worked in. Come on Kiran we are expecting something good from you. Atleast don't cheat people and give something worst atleat 10 Rs to watch.
hi Saurabh Agrawal u mentioned this mature movie will not be accepted by indian audience for now. such stuff has no takers even in hollywood. niche films in usa have not performed in US box office. even i who watch all genres of movies will not watch it. who the hell will pay Rs.120to 150 rupees to watch such arty stuff. BS!! i will be with the majority

so then accept it tht the movie is gud..but ur not ready to watch it..why criticise such a quality cinema...if Art is not ur cup of tea, then dont go and watch it..but dont criticise the movie pointlessely..it might be art, it might b slow, but the fact is its awesome...Quality wise..

wat quality it had? it was simply waste & boring. Though i liked some portion of the movie but overall it was thumbs-down :(
Brilliant Acting by all 4 actors.. i especially liked Aamir(so obvious)..and Monica Dogra...Aamir again sheds his Star Status to give an understated performance and lets others take the centre stage...just like RDB and TZP..Pratiek was gud too..and the 2nd girl..well there is more voice of her than face..
An Awesome Story about 3 intertwined One-sided love stories, and the plight of a Married woman...
A Dhobi in love with a Gorgeous Investment banker/Photographer...but she in love with a Divorcee/Artist...the Artist in love with the woman in the Tapes he stumbles upon accidently...the woman who was deeply buried in her own plight..
Quite an inconclusive and unfulfilling climax..but thats quality thought provoking cinema for you..and thats life for you...real life is never conclusive..there is always a story remaining to be told...to imagine what might have happened after the apparant 'The End'...the only thing is the Director here doesn't even give us the Apparant 'The End'...and we can assume all we could...The Director could have shown us that Munna became a huge Star, and won his love..that Arun returned to his family...but then what??? does their story end there??? No...Kiran Rao picked up from a phase of life of 3 different people..and leaves the story then and there...We dont know, who will get whom..who would become what...but thats life...full of unfulfilled/fulfilled Dreamz...full of One-sided/Mutual, unfulfilled/fulfilled love..

This is some mature Stuff, for which our India Audience is probably not ready yet..
I actually loved the silence in the movie...i loved the scenes where characters were just acting and expressing backed by that awesome BackGround Score, more than where they were talking..
Specially, i loved Aamir's Portrayal of Arun...A Man, who doesn't care about relationships, emotions of himself or of ppl who are part of his life..but this same man feels the pain of an unknown woman in the Tapes... falls in love with her...i loved the way he fell in love with her..the way he watched those tapes..silently...smitten..and the way he freaks out at the end of the tape in the climax...Gosh...he emotes so well...i am so proud that i am Crazy about Aamir instead of some other no-brainer actors...his Character transition was awesome...but then so was Shai's and Munna's..hell, this was awesome movie..
I am Not much of an expert on direction and editing..but the story flowed smoothly..so that front ok too..its gud that there are no songs or interval to disrupt the Flow..
besides you save money on your interval snacks...
About the Boredom Part: i dint find it bore...its slow but not bore, if u try to indulge with the characters..if u try to identify with them...u just go with the flow..and it does induce a few Chuckles here and there..even to those who'd later come out and say it was bore....
When u cudn't find a problem with the movie..u sulk on Director not calling it Bombay..we all call it Mumbai you fool..changing the name doesn't change the soul of Mumbai... u talk about skirting frm controversy?? Aamir doesn't dwell on that..ur man-crush SRK does..he loves creating controversy just like he did at the time of MNIK by talking abt Pakistani players.. in the initial scenes of the movie itself Aamir says that his art is dedicated to the Labourers of UP, Bihar who have helped Built Mumbai...nw talk abt skirting away frm controversy...Aamir says whats true...why shud he call it Bombay when nobody does??
when u cudn't find flaw in Aamir..u r at his Dialogue delivery..may b u cud give him some lessons..
Kiran rao didn't work too hard..she just went through it...u work too hard to criticize any Aamir-starrer movie.. u'll talk about Art-House Cliches in an awesome Artmovie produced by Aamir...but u wud never talk abt Masala Cliches in an SRK masala movie.. The film is solid...ur hollow frm inside..
Monica Dogra was awesome..so u've problem with her accent..Check out ur own words- "her accent is authentic, and suits the character to the T, but still it brings down the character."...isn't it Stupid by e1 ur standards??? i submitted my first public review for a movie on Facebuk frenz..and then i saw this stupid article..i'm posting my review here...do tell me ur views...
raja sen is an idiot...and we all know hw biased his views are...he wud rather prefer stupid no-brainer flicks by SRK...He has always been Ant-Aamir...u stupid fella, Aamir has nothing to lose...but ur negative reviews might hamper Prateik babbar, and Monica Dogra's progress...and they were all awesome...but probably ur review wont affect them coz all of us know that if u dont like a movie..then its a must watch..besides Rediff and in particular you dont have many followers..
