I think Eeram is a wonderful film by Shankar if I am not mistaken. Classy, gripping and technically brilliant.

I have always enjoyed Shankars, films immensely, one for his innovative theme, presentation and treatment in each of his films.

The entire gamut of characterization, plot and post production techniques breaks the stereotype moulds of Tamil cinema.

I enjoyed Anniyan, and Indian, for its unique presentation. Hope Robot does the magic for this creative artist!

You are right, as he does not fit into the film directors in india, we will see him great, otherwise if compared to the directors across globe he is normal

Though I am a non-Tamilian from Mumbai. I have seen all his Tamil films since Gentleman. And I must say that he is one the best directors in India.

Shankar as Director / Producer
by puregold on Sep 27, 2010 03:16 PM  | Hide replies

I was stunned by the movies like Indian and Muthalvan. Even though I have to admit that his films have necessary masala elements for pulling the crowd.
The sequence TV interviewer firing questions to Cheif Minister in Mudhalvan cannot be imagined in the real life at that time (late 90s), but nowadays it is all happening daily.

Also I admire Shankar as a producer more than a director just because his production house brought so many young directors with new subjects.

Yeah. I like his Productions more than his Directions. But both are great in opposite ways!
