I agree that most of Shakar's movies were awesome, especially those with a message to society. Movies like Jeans and Kaadhalan were quite average if you take AR Rehman away from them. Too bad that Rehman doesnt have the same magic anymore!
Big budget movie Endhiran but its a remake of English movie its sounds bad and all the songs which made in shankar movies are all straight away lifted from michael jackson album
Contrary to his film themes, black economy is thriving every time shankar's film releases. In Tamilnadu tickets sold @ Rs.300 in II tier cities and Rs.1000 per ticket at Chennai theatres thro 2nd channals and not in box office counters.
When rice is sold @ Rs.1 per Kg in ration shops across tamilnadu with the cost of a Shankar / Rajini film ticket one can feed his family for a month.
