I don’t think anything wrong in celebrating Rajini’s movie - Endhiran. It has become a tradition to connect his movies with festivals. And this is part of one’s life. There were days during my school days when my father age group used to be crazy about his movies, then I was curios and excited and still continue to be. And the next generation, that is my little nephews and niece are frantic about his movies. In those days, there were no big marketing strategies but just word of mouth marketing. But things have changed with online, offline, television, radio, print media and most importantly social networking sites. This is huge boost for us to express our views. Definitely there will be days in my future where I will share with my kids and grand children about these celebrations. I would bet you it is not that Rahman’s songs, Shankar’s direction or Sun pictures marketing that pulls crowd to theatre but only one man and that is our Thaliavar Rajini. I do admit that the movie’s success depends on all the above said factor but pulling crowds to theatre is only by this man – Rajini.

See this is the country where no politician or stars are perfect. I don't care about his personal life and other things. As an audience, I enjoy his movies. If you have so much of hatred towards him, then prove his wrong doings or stay away from this forum.

@biny,In TN MGR charmed people and he came to power as per their wish, this is democracy where people make the choice, similarly rajni is riding the popular wave!!!, still it does not stop Ajith has mass following, vijay has followers, the trend will continue ..Only path breaking people get the maximum attention..people who finished 10 films have started getting titles and fans..y not Rajni!!!

ha ha ha...r u joking.........which shankar film had a big opening....truth is if sivaji had some other lead actor....it couldnt be so succesful as rajini in it......
that is the reason filmstars become rich, look at ordinary person in TN, no food, still want to pay more and watch the movies. in tamil nadu, everything is hyped

TN is much better than any other states.where people died because of lack of food but here poor people getting better food because of good govt.

Dear Dhruva kumar, Please stop giving generic comments like Tamilians are poor and of no food. Be specific in what you are saying. Tamilnadu is in top positions in India in education, IT field, Industries, occupation, agriculture, devotion, culture etc etc.. It is known for hospitality and respect to people!

dei domaru.. how many tamil movies have you seen that you are commenting about quality? I understand your standards of quality when you clap your hands like a demented person after watching the path breaking movie "Dabaang".. thoooooo..

Also be aware that most of the best technicians in bollywood are from Tamilnadu!
those days, cinema was a mode of entertainment. teh head of the family works in a central or state govt and during his eek ends, he takes his family to theatres to see good movies, enjoy and come back home with good memories. cinema has changed rapidly, people get emotional about their favourites, can do anything for the sake of him. even rajini wouldnt allow any one to be emotional with him. he knows hes just an actor and a common man like any one. its the paid media which portrays heroes as saviours of the nation etc..just njoy the movie if u like, no emotional outbursts please..
Re: Re: y get emotional
by veerapuram dharan on Sep 27, 2010 02:44 PM
just watch the movie and enjoy. no need to show emotional outbursts like praying for success, milk abhishekams etc..even super star wouldnt like these things..
how sad these mad tamils queuing up for a mad film by mad a man!!! just look at the picture...very similar to gulshan grover in one of the hindi movie.

may be u didnt watch what dabaang did in box office...atleast rajini is a good individual..not a murderer or in-human .......
