I can tell one thing with certainity about peepli live is that it wont make it beyond the first round of elimination. In other words peepli live doesn't deserve to be in the oscars race. There are so many other regional languages films and yet they only want to send the hindi films. The hindi films are full of over-acting, showiness, without any reality, etc. I'll pray it will get trashed out in the first rounds itself... ok, then why to pray, peepli live has no other way to go, than to get out.

I agree with u,. plus batla khan should be banned for forcing bad films in to the race for oscar and spoiling indias image.

No surprise. Because it was made by Aamir Khan so it is great movies despite of abusing language and bold dialogues,no one pointed out this one. If this movie was made by other producer,then wouldn't have been noticed.Even in '3 idiots' lot of vulgarity ike 'Jahapanah' Chamatkar-Balatkar etc.I noticed, but no one objected. If Govinda-David Dhavan do this thing It is B grade.If Aamir Khan-Hirani do same thing It is A grade thanks to media.

TZP and Lagaan were good movies, but 3 idiots was very cheap & vulgar. But media is blind over Aamir.
Its a great choice..hardly we see sattire being made in India..a country were Dabanng becomes superhit, people from such country should refrain from talking bout movies yet it is a democracy so people will :P but still if noticed minutely sattire has been so well constructed in the movie making a equal mockery of all media,common man n the System,govt...n then it is not run of the mill comedies as it ends with a symbolic note (n a true one) about the quiet plight of all workers in construction fields of big cities..probably like Nathya many of them are forced to leave their village...
Of Batla khan visiting PM's house to show this film, what a joke, this batla khan thinks that he is some great producer director and the world is denying him the Oscar, he will go to any extent to reach the nomination stage. he showed it Lk advani too if I am not mistaken. Batla should know that 1500 members of academy awards cant be bought for his desperate attempt to win Oscar. This film is meant for tv viewing, They should show these films on DD. Third rate director/producers have started to send entries in to Oscars. Spoiling India's horrible iamge abroad for Unhygenic place and what not. have some shame Batle khan. One question to readers why are all Khans batle in india, they are originally from afghanistan, and if u see afghanis khan u will know they are well in 6 feet an above.

Dude which international film r u talking bout??infact i feel i have seen more international films than holly n bolly together..well coming to this official entry thing personally i feel Udaan was a better choice but then this is also ok... ..And why can't people digest the fact that most of the big hits are crap films??it is nothing like disgracing myself in front of all..it is a opinion which i have accumulated after watching world films n then hindi ones..See in India also great films are made but then normal audience are too ignorant to understand those n classifies them as bad films..i can name a few now but i am sure most people will shout that this are bad movies.. well.. namely from 2010 Ishqiya,LSD,Udaan,Peepli, Antardwaand,Emotional Atyachaar(for its ritchie-tarantino ish style of narrative n execution)..from 2009 Dev D,Gulaal,Kaminey,Stoneman Murders,Rocket Singh,sanket City (again a weird Guy Ritchie kind of film)
