shameless people..
by anuj on Oct 04, 2010 10:46 PM  | Hide replies

whoever has been abusing and insulting indian languages like hindi, tamil etc out here are rotten, shameless guys who have no idea what national pride is all about. India is a diverse land with multiple cultures, languages and traditions. That is something to be felt proud of and not a means of dividing people and spreading hated like some faggots have been doing for the last couple of days. When India got freedom people like Bhagat Singh,Mahatma Gandhi and Tantiya Tope fought together irrespective of where they came from. That's the idea of united India. But alas, some people just cannot live without creating hatred and spreading neagtivity.

does rajnikanth have more fans than actors like amitabh and shah rukh in terms of sheer number? or is his popularity mostly restricted only to south india

well u cant count popularity based on the number of people from the same region. For instance, Rajini is popular in Tamil Telugu Kannada and Malayalam also to a level in NI not to mention about his huge fan base in Japan and Malaysia... but Amitabh or SRK never crossed their hindi speaking region... got? Lion has more pride than a Pig... though pig is countless in number/...

SRK just does not belong to this league. BigB might have been a competition for Rajnikath, but then he does not have the charm and these days he is such a common face.Rajnikanth is ultimately the winner.

Popularity s restricted to Tamil Nadu. Even Kerala (Mamoothy and Mohanlal) and AP (Chiranjeevi)have their own superstars. The only all India megastar (North to South, East to West, urban to rural, masses to classes)produced by this country is AB, who is also Rajani's guru.

Southies really dont care about AB, SRK..

Kamal Hassan has more national awards than any actor in India..Rajnikanth has more superhits than any actor in India.. and yet AB, SRK r called superstars?..why?..bcos north indians r so many in number, they ll only choose one from their clan, irrespective of whehter that person is gud, bad or ugly..

Robot (Hindi) is a flop across India
by Vikram on Oct 04, 2010 10:37 PM  | Hide replies

Rajani is not even a star nationwide, leave alone a superstar, he is Tamil icon, period. That why the Hindi Robot released in 700 prints across the country did not even get a decent first weekend - 7 cr is simply peanuts. Remember Rajani's 10 years in Bollywood (1983-93)where he was a second grade actor with a host of solo hero flops and he had to play second fiddle to heroines (remember Chaalbaaz). Pls learn to face facts.

Cost
by K on Oct 04, 2010 06:31 PM  | Hide replies

If we compare the costs, AA covered the cost fast while Endhiran has to stand in the coming days due to its high cost. So AA has already won the race inspite of poor rating by Rajeev Masand and Khalid.

vada paav: cost price-Rs.1, selling price: Rs.5

Big Mac Burger: cost price: Rs.50, selling price: Rs.100

so what will you sell? 10 vada paavs or 10 Big Mac Burger?

if u r intellectually challenged to this analogy, like other northies, AA is like vada paav and Robot is like Big Mac Burger..

The winner Robot takes it all
by punchdrunklove on Oct 04, 2010 06:24 PM

Irrespective of the box office figures on the opening days, what will be significant is the sustaining power of the films in the coming weeks, open with a bang and close with a thud will surely not be the case with Robot.
Its a sure fire hit and the weeks to come will prove it.
Anjana,A will lose its appeal in the days to come for its word of mouth negative reviews.
In conclusion the figures collection on the first or second day does not matter to make a film box office hit,

If Anjaana Anjaani should have been titled as "Guide to Ten ways to kill yourself" or "Guide to commit suicide", it'd been a box office hit.

Gimme a break! This whole pan-India audience for Hindi films is pure humbug! Do you want us to belive that movies like Dabangg are being watched by every Bangla, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Oriya speaking Indian in their respective states??? And are queuing up for all shows and applauding salman's act? Your comment on a 'limited audience' applies for Hindi films too!
