Glad that they didn't get carried away by the hype 'Avatar' created.Kathryn bigelow and 'The hurt locker' totally deserved it. Our bollywood awards, where only blockbusters and superstars win, should learn a lesson or two from the oscars.

Movies acceptance is a sign of maturity of the society, we were there only to fallback in an abyss, but still there is lot of hope and promise, it'll be decades before we starting seeing it.
On women's Day "Kathryn Bigelow" won main categary awards. What a gift for her!! Congrats. "The hurt locker" deserves each and every bit of oscar. It was quite a face off with ex-husband James cameron.
I thought that Avatar would win the Best picture and Best director award!! If not Avatar, the chance should go to Inglorious Bastereds!! How come Hurt locker won them? Hurt Locker can't even compared with Avatar and Inglorious!!! Certainly, this time, The jury might be decided to give the award to a female..the first female best director!!!
Movies are all about how close they are to human experience, and Hurt locker does it. It captures the hostile Iraqi landscape, the addiction of action, and the instincts of survival.
