Mani Ratnam goe terribly wrong. Abishek looked more of idiotic and his charactor lacked clearity on why he behaves like psycho considering all his brothers are quite normal. he does try hard but unforturately he doesnt have charsima.i wont say he acted badly, but he never really understood charector and public dont connect with his charector which was very important considering protoganist.Aishwarya charector was decently sketched until she falls in love fr beera. unforfortunately for other protoganst there is no clarity on him, we smtime find him good smtime weido. only Ravi kissan ,Govinda,priyami excells as people fid coected to them due to simple to relate charectors. Ratnam's script fails and so does movie. i dont understand have beera needs to color his face (giving him more psycho touch). his clothes doesnt suit him. and mid of jungle he dances without reason fr thik de killi song, which is irritating (same as in guru when guru starts dancing when his two daughter were born, it was most idiotic scene put by ratnam in otherwise brilliant movie). never feel chemstry between abhi-ash. seriously it was painful experience in all.
the music although very loud.. fails to attach to the film. music is suitable to an Opera.. seems like mani caught rehman at the wrong time/mood. songs are below par. not hummable.. not soothing or pleasing to the ears..
for once i am really disappointed that mani has not been able to use the stars to their best all due to faulty dialogues with just shreiking ahs and abhi all the time bak bak- bak bak. no crispness and depth in he dialogue and too much of camers movement. we can write better dialogues than that... too much haldi and chandan on abhi...so much better was expected
