This is with reference to the Song in Amir Khan's movies. These poor guys have sung the song and wrote the lyrics themselves. God knows what was the deal between the Singers and the Star. They have to settle it amicably. The singers expecting eleven lakhs for the song is exhorbit. So the poor singers are instigated by third party interference. May be the Star will get around 3 crores for his role. He may show some generosaity in paying the singers.
Is is what the real face of our so called popular star of B Town? Don u feel ashamed of distributing RS100 each to those eleven local musicians? Shame ! Shame!

You are right! Amir can sit on Dharna in support of people of Namarmada Bachao Andolan and when it comes to him, he has no hesitation to exploit the dirt poor, helpless villagers to his advantage.

LOL, Aamir is not even in this movie, its just a low budget movie just for the sake of humor. It doesnt have commercial value at all, this movie was made for film festivals.
and atleast he is better than the people who says "pakistan is a great neighbour"

Mr. Amir Khan do not require any co-star to promote his film, whether it is 3 idiots or any of his films. He does not depend on negative publicitity like My name is Khan by SRK or Ravan by Big B. SRK went to extend of being questioned at New York airport and taking Pakistani side for his film. Big B made negative remarks about the director of Raavan to save his son and dil(daughter in law.)
Amir's only draw back... he is self centered.. even in private life. Divorced his wife and deserted his children. But his father was magnanimous to allow them to stay with him.

Payment has to be decided beforehand. If they thought 1100 rupees is not doing justice to their work, why did they accepted payment and written and sung?! When Aamir refuse opposition's proposal to use this song. They have given money to these people to go against Aamir.
This is simply stupid. Any person with little mind will know this is stunt from opposition. Aamir can't force them to sung for 1100 rupees, it's them who accepted remunaration.

You are an idiot. The contract between two highly unequal parties is never a fair contract. On one side is a group of starving villagers and on the other side is the person who can afford crores of rupees to gamble on a risky business like making of movies.

100% true JGN.. these small time unknown singers were exploited on basis of goodwill.. they had no reason to believe they wd be paid Rs 1100 as they wd not have had a contract

dude, that's why we have minimum wage rate. Whether it's for singing or working in gutter. As long as someone gets minimum wage rate or more and person accept it in agreement is fair enough. If someone efford crores, doesn't mean he will pay crore to someone who is amature. According to you, all fresh graduate start earning crores as soon as they start working somewhere. When I read your stubborn mind comments in this article, it looks like who are one of those mindless zerg who walks everyday on the street and complain about everything.
They should have asked for more money BEFORE, not AFTER.
This is the reason Production Houses REFUSE to give opportunities to these people, because they fear this kind of blackmail. Goondas and Politicial Parties are quick to join them too - if they smell an opportunity.

I once asked a film-maker friend of mine - WHY THEY SHOOT SO MANY SONGS MOVIES ABROAD NOW?

forget promotions..... no publicity can pull up a bad film after the first weekend..... the end product has to be good.... in aamirs case - he's been pretty accurate with the balance of art and commerce...
Can we ask as to how much they were getting earlier? Not much as can be seen from their picture. The problem is that when someone spends money on these folks and makes them popular the lose thier head. They are better off singing in their shanties ???!!!

is it 1100 each or 100 each for 11 people?. This is sheer nonsence. They r not beggars. They r artists. They should refuse to allow that song in the movie. That would be self respect. Or they should donate the song but should not accept paltry sums. Alteast they will earn the respect of the people initially and will earn more money in future.

If they are ARTIST , where were they before working with Amair's production house. I am sure they must be singing the same songs and earning less then , what they are getting now. though I agree 1100 is not justified but , asking money at the time time of release is BLACKMAILING, and surly Amir;s production house must have taken all the legal precautions, so even if they refuse to pay anything, its legal.

..then how do you justify Abhishek Bachan getting a salary of 5-10 crores for a movie.. did he have any experience save that he is son of Amitabh Bachan... he hardly has 2-3 hits for his 100 movies

These ppls will take 8 crorers to 10 crorers but when they will pay to others then its come down to 800-1000 !! Just boycot to see hindi pics see only regional pics!!!
